"Come on Riley stop playing games already, we just want to sit and have a civilised conversation with you" Several of the sols who were now in the dining room heard what Rome had said. He'd used my name on purpose, that asshole!
Now I had two options, became visible and sit back at the table with them in plain sight therefore breaking every rule a dweller could. Or I could cause enough chaos to make a break for it.
Eh who ever liked choosing the easy option.
Spotting a line of dwellers that were holding pitchers of water I grinned broadly. Flood the room act 2 is now in motion.
Sorry mate, I said in sympathy as the jugs of water had tendrils of liquid floating up, and up forming an entire layer of water above everyone's heads. I saw a few sols who most likely had a water ability try and coax the water down.
"Don't do it Riley" Coen said from somewhere nearby.
"Why not? You guys all need a shower anyway you reek of testosterone" and with that I dropped what had to be at least a lake or twos worth of water onto the entire room.
The people went crazy, blaming each other and trying to push each other out of the way to get to their dorms. I slipped into the crowd dropping the invisibility knowing there was no way that the Abcurses could find me or grab me in this crowd.
Elbows and soggy clothes pushed up against me and I wasn't even trying to fight back a grin, oh yeah this was so much more fun than just messing with the Abcurses.
An unyielding grip grasped me around my bicep and I was being tugged away. Trying to look at my captor I saw a flash of wet blonde hair and relaxed. It was only Emmy. Her entire body was soaked to the bone, her hair plastered against her face. She dragged me unceremoniously through the crowd to an empty hallway leading to the library.
"You're an idiot you know that?" She said unimpressed narrowing her eyes and crossing her arms over her chest.
"An idiot who is in a lot of pain right now" I gasped holding my chest. It hadn't registered before that Emmy was most likely taking me away from the Abcurses and I had forgotten one tiny detail.
The fact that I was in immense pain every time I got too far away from them.
The agony washed over me and I swayed, brushing off Emmy's hand when she reached out to me. Her previous anger had sizzled down instead replaced by worry. "What the hell happened to you? Why did you turn the dining room into a swimming pool?"
"Long story I was trying to get away from the demon brothers but I forgot that I couldn't actually do that without nearly killing myself. You know nothing new"
Emmy's face became blank for a few clicks as she registered what I was saying. She opened her mouth a few times to say something but thought the better of it and closed it again. Finally, she settled on. "So that's what you've been doing for the past few sun cycles? Running off with the Abcurse brothers and getting some connection to them that won't allow you to stray to far?" I winced at her brief explanation and then again as I felt the pain getting worse.
