Rosamund prowled the cobblestone streets of Paris. Staying out of the light of distant homes and candles. She searched for a fresh meal. Her cape billowed below at her feet as she walked. She came up to a main road, seeing a young woman, begging for money and food.
"how sad... " Rosamund pouted mockingly and approached the girl. The girl looked over and saw her. Eyes opening in shock.
Rosamund knew why she looked so shocked. Her hair and skin were the first thing you'd notice about her. Her red hair seems to glow, and her pale skin is almost to bright and blurry to see.
Rosamund walked into the light.
"I can help you my dear" she said in a soft voice to her.
"Y-you can?" she squeaked.
"of course" Rosamund drawled in a slight purr. "follow" she said backing away out of the dull lighting. The girl followed her slowly, still unsure of her true intentions. Rosamund led her to a dark alley. The girl looked at her, eyes full of fear. She realized what was going to happen.
With inhuman speed, Rosamund grabbed her by her throat, causing her to whimper.
"Scream and I'll make it worse" Rosamund hissed in her ear.
Her lips trailed down the girls ear to her neck where she sunk her fangs into the soft pink flesh of the young girl. Blood dripped into her mouth, more and more until she was limp and cold.
Right at the last heart beat, Rosamund dropped her body to the hard cobblestone floor. A thump echoed from the stone walls that surrounded them. She looked down at the now dead mortal body with disgust clear across her pale face and now blood stained lips. She turned on her heel, going back out on to the sidewalk of the now almost deserted streets.
She walked down that street for what seemed like that millionth time in her immortal life. Until someone caught her eye. A man, barely 24 with curly blonde hair was walking the opposite way. He stood up straight as he walked with confidence, an almost permanent mischievous look on his pale face. His grey eyes flashed her way, and a smirk grew.
He was a vampire... Like her. She didn't respond and kept walking. She made it back to the townhouse on the river bay. She looked at the know lighter horizon. The sun was coming up, the mix of red and orange on the distant clouds. She sighed softly and hurried to her coffin, laying down in it, the velvet cushioned bottom wasn't enough comfort for her.
She drifted off into sleep, no dreams coming to invade the darkness that seeped into her brain.
------------------------------------
A loud bang awoke Rosamund, she threw open her coffin and looked around before getting out. She didn't see anyone or anything that may have caused the noise. The curtains beside her moved, like wind blowing through the room.
The same blonde man with curly hair then walked into sight.
"what are you doing here? " she hissed
"a last, another like me." is all he said. "you see, my once companion has left, killing me, then burning me. Committing a crime in our world"
"if he killed u then how are you alive?" Rosamund challenged, cocking an eyebrow.
"I fed on the swamp creatures, until back to my full... Self" he saidRosamund looked at him more closely, his skin was just as pale as hers. His hair vibrant and curly. He kind of reminded her of a stallion. Standing tall and proud.
"So what?" Rosamund asked, rolling her eyes.
"you'll see" he says and then jumps out of the window.Leaving Rosamund there, wondering what he meant. Her? Have a companion?
