Daniel looks at Chelsea as he takes a deep breath as he walks over and reaches out and takes her hand in his as he holds it while he looks at her deeply into her eyes.

"Chelsea, I'm so sorry. But as a result of your infection..... you'll never be able to have children."

Chelsea couldn't believe what Daniel had just told her and her parents. She looks at him sadly as she takes a couple of deep breaths before she finds her voice.

''Daniel, isn't there anything that you can do to fix it so that I can have children someday?''

Chelsea asks Daniel with hope in her eyes.

Daniel looks at her as he reaches out for her hand.

''Chelsea, I promise you that I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that you get the opportunity to be a wonderful wife and mother someday. Because the man who gets to spend the rest of his life with you is going to be the most amazing and incredible not to mention luckiest man in the entire world because he gets to spend the rest of his life making you happy. I'm going to say something that I never thought that I'd say and that's............. whoever you decide to spend the rest of your life with I'm going to be jealous of the guy because I never got the chance to be with you myself.''

Chelsea looks at him as she feels herself begin to blush before she replies.

''Well, if I wasn't your patient then maybe you and I could...........

Daniel looks at her as he continues to hold her hand.

''Chelsea, are you trying to say that you don't want me to be your doctor anymore?''

Chelsea looks at him in the eyes as she gently strokes his hand.

''Yes, Daniel. That's what I'm saying. I know that there are rules against patients getting romantically involved with their doctors so I thought that if maybe you weren't on my case anymore that we'd be able to see what this thing is between us. That is if you want to. I mean you do have feelings for me, don't you?''

Daniel smiles at her as he reaches out and takes her other hand in his before he leans in and kisses her softly yet deeply at first when all of the sudden there's a knock on the door.

Chelsea feels Daniel's lips on hers as they kiss for the very first time and as they are kissing the door opens and in walks Kate who stops in her tracks.

''WHAT IN THE HELL IS GOING ON IN HERE!''

A few minutes later Chelsea and Daniel finally pull apart from the kiss as he leans his head against hers.

''How was that for our first kiss?''

Chelsea looks into Daniel's eyes as she wraps her arms around his neck.

''That was an amazing first kiss. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I hope that it's the start of something more. I really do care about you so very much, Daniel. I don't want to stop this thing between us.''

Daniel smiles down at her as he reaches out and gently caresses her cheek before he replies back.

''I don't want to stop this either. We just started seeing each other. I want to see where our relationship can go.''

Chelsea smiles at Daniel as she reaches out and holds his hand while not able to take her eyes off of him.

"Thank you, for everything that you've done for me ever since this whole thing started. I don't know what I would have done without you in my life.''

Daniel gives her a smile as he continues to caress her face as he sits by her beside holding her hand.

"You don't have to thank me. I'm glad that I was here for you to help you from the very start. Coming to Salem was the absolute best decision I have ever made. It brought me to you. Your the one who I've been waiting my whole life for.''

While they are talking Kate stands in the doorway just staring at them all the while getting sick with jealously. Kate then clears her throat.

''Please! You have got to be kidding me! You don't mean that. You didn't come here to be with Chelsea. You came here to be with me. Daniel, we both know it.''

Chelsea looks between her grandmother and then at Daniel.

''Daniel, what is she talking about?''

Daniel looks at Chelsea as he reaches out as he gently strokes her cheek.

"The real reason why I didn't want to get involved with you is because before you came into my life and changed it another woman did she was also one of my patients. She quickly went from being my patient to becoming my wife. We got married in the hospital and after that I took her to the beach so that she could watch the sunset and as the sun was setting she saw it set and then died in my arms.''
