It was a bright beautiful Saturday morning.
I got up and stared out my window. I loved the giant Weeping Willow Tree in the backyard.
It was quite relaxing to just sit under the tree.
I decided to climb out to the balcony. I knew I had to go greet my family before doing anything but I just had to go outside.
I stood outside, taking in everything for maybe 10 minutes before going inside.
I quickly ran to the bathroom and took a shower. I threw on some wristbands, an oversized hoodie and some skinny jeans.
"Time to go see the family." I quietly muttered under my breath.
I didn't necessarily hate my family but I didn't like spending time with them.
Regardless of how I felt, I lazily slid down the stairs and into the kitchen.
"Morning Raven."
"Morning Mom."
Yup. My name is Raven. I hated my name but my mom thought it was a beautiful name.
"Here, I made you some waffles."
"Uh, thanks." I replied awkwardly.
I didn't really want food but I didn't wanna seem rude or ungrateful so I just sat down and ate.
"Hey mom, I'm gonna go for a walk in the woods if that's okay."
"Oh sure sweetie! Just be back before dark."
I nodded and with that I was out the door. I loved the woods. There weren't many people around to hang out with so I spent lots of time there.
I decided to grab something to draw and a blanket before heading out.
I walked for a bit when I came by a stream and a large tree. It was the perfect sitting tree.
It had a thick branch that was rather straight and eventually curved up.
Of course I climbed up it. I pulled out my sketch book and began sketching random things I saw.
Suddenly, I was a flash of white. I stayed quiet and looked around till I saw what the flash had been.
I saw a boy with singed black hair, a white blood covered hoodie and black dress pants.
I thought about saying something but something felt off about this guy. I let my distance.
I couldn't see his face but I did see the knife in his hand. The tree kept me hidden and I stayed still till the boy ran off, deep into the woods.
I needed to find out who he was and why he was there. I would but not today.
"Shit." I mumbled under my breath as I realized it was almost dark. My mom was going to give me a whole lecture about how I could die but there wasn't even anyone around to kill me. At least that's what I thought...
