I was absolutely terrified at this point but I refused to show it as I thought it was only drive his insanity.

After Jeff whispered those last words, he finally left the room. I had to get out of here or I would end up just like the other bodies in this room.

The odor of the decaying bodies and dried blood was putrid. I scanned the room for a key until finally, something shiny caught my eye.

It looked like a key and it was my best bet of getting out of this room.

I tried to be quiet as I went to get the shiny object but I couldn't help but hear the crunching of brittle bones as they snapped under my shoes.

I quickly unlocked the chain and was relieved to finally hear the sound of the chain falling back onto the ground.

Now, all I needed was a way out of this here.

I scanned the room carefully until I found a door. It was well hidden and matched the walls perfectly.

Ironically, the key was right above the door's frame. I had to jump up to reach it but once again, I heard the sound of bones breaking beneath my feet.

I wasted no time unlocking and pulling the huge steel door open. I stepped out as the bright light blinded me for a moment.

What I saw shocked me. It seemed like I was in a normal home but something felt....off.

Out of thin air, a little girl appeared. She wasn't your average child. She wore a torn, pink night gown and carried a teddy bear. But, what was most unsettling were her glowing green eyes and the fresh blood that dripped down her forehead and onto her face.

She slowly walked toward me and gave me a smile. It was odd. It wasn't sweet but she didn't scare me, atleast not yet.
