Afraid and Broken (Zoro x Luffy)

Chapter Two: The Crews Loyalty

Welcome to Chapter Two. Here we go... This chapter is a bit shorter than chapter one but hopefully it will suffice.

'No I can't blame myself, I have to be strong. Strong, for Luffy.'

'That is if I can'

Zoro's POV:

Standing up I pick up the boy that lay in-between my legs in a bridal type of way. Walking back over to the hammocks I set Luffy down into my own hammock covering him in the blankets making sure he won't get cold.

As I look down at the now sleeping boy a soft smile covers my face leaning down I kiss the smaller dark-haired boy on the forehead, "Luffy... I love you. And I will do anything I can to protect that smile, even if it means giving my life to save yours." I whispered checking to see if he woke up I went over to the door and opened it.

Once I opened the door I noticed that the rest of the crew were there looking at me with concern and worry. Looking down I see the small and cute Chopper at my feet, "Is Luffy okay?" he asks me. I look down at him with sympathetic eyes. Although Chopper can look quite scary in a few of his points he was still a kind-hearted soul.

"Yea he just really misses Ace." I say to him. Looking around at the rest of the crew I see Nami with a sweet smile on her face and not her usual 'belli eye' look. Looking back into the men's dorm to see Luffy sleeping soundly in my hammock I think to myself 'We will help you. I will help you.'

Luffy's POV:

Waking up I feel tears streaming down my face. The dream I had before had repeated again and I couldn't get it out of my head, "Ace.." I murmur feeling more tear fall onto my cheeks. Holding my hand up over my mouth I try to muffle my cries so that I did not bother my crew any more than I already had. I had to be a strong captain so that I could protect my crew and stop anyone else from dying.

"Luffy.." I hear Zoro whisper. Of course I had to be a nuisance to someone, and of course that someone had to be Zoro. Looking up I look at Zoro and notice that he was sitting next the the hammock I was in.
