I walk down the white brick tiled road that seems to go on forever. On both sides of the roads are Cherry Blossom trees. "This road must look beautiful when they blossom," I thought. So far, the road has remained void of life. Could it be I've gotten here to late or to early. I hear the sound of shoes hitting the concrete hard and fast and getting louder. Before I can turn around, I feel a pair of arms wrap around my chest and I'm tackled to the ground."RICKY!" "Oh great, I know that high pitched voice," I thought. "Hello Lucy." "Oh come on, you said it like you didn't want to see me." " Well, when you're tackled to the ground by someone you thought could be serial killer along with the fact that I'm the only human here which some pokemon don't like humans could put you in a sullen mood and I don't liked to be snuck up on!" "Sorry." She's like a 5 year old who stole a cookie. How on earth can I not stay mad at her. "Its ok....and one more thing." "What is it?" "Can you get off me." All this time she's been sitting on me. She realizes and quickly jumps off. I start to get up and look towards her. Lucy is a Buneary. She has chocolate brown skin, a little tall, two brown bunny ears, one sticking straight up and the other curled up in a ball, long black hair that reaches down to her waist and two cream colored puffballs on the tops of her ears along with big amber eyes. She's my best friend. "I'm really sorry." "Its fine, I take it your happy to see me?" She looks at me and hugs me. "Yeah, I'm happy your going to my school now." "I'm nervous about this whole thing. What if they don't like humans." "Ah, don't worry about it, alot of people here like humans or don't mind them." Her words fill me with some hope. Maybe it won't be so bad here. "Hey, where is every body?" The desolence suddenly brings my earlier question back to mind. "Oh, there proabably in the courtyard." "Courtyard?" "Yeah, come on and I'll show ya." She grabs a hold of my wrist and pulls me ahead. The girl is alot stronger than she looks. She is really skinny but still has muscle though. She pulls me along quickly. But, in no time we stop. I'm gasping for air at this point. When I finally regain my breath, I look to find an astounding sight. It's a large open area, with the same brick tiling expanding into a vast yard. There are benches all around. And there are students all around. Of all varieties of pokemon as well. I'm at a loss of words for this. "Come on, I'll show you around." I follow her as she leaves. I look around as we walk and I must say It's pretty nice for a courtyard. And everyone seems happy and cheerful. I do however catch a few people staring at me though. That kinda scares me. I hope they like humans. "Hey Marty, look who's here." I look over to see Lucy talking to her older brother Martin but people call him Marty. He's pretty tall, same skin, hair, and eye color like his sister along with ears, but he has short moppy hair and is very muscular. He's also a friend of mine. "Well, looks like shrimp finally moved up with the big dogs, come here." He takes one of his arms, wraps it around my neck and proceeds to nuggie me. "Ow,ow,ow,ow, okay uncle." He automatically lets go and I check my head if I'n bleeding. "Sorry about that, your fun to mess with, its good to see you." He holds out his fist and I bump it in return. "Likewise." "So how does it feel to be in our school." "I'm still nervous." "Relax, if anyone bothers ya, come to me." I smile in reasurance. Marty has always been like a brother to me and acted like one. "Sure." "OH MY ARCEUS, THEY'RE HERE." We turn around to see a crowd swarming around. "What's going om over there." "Aw geez, the hounds are here." "Hounds?" We join the crowd and from the crowd we see what look like humans. They look human except they have pale skin, horns that curve backward at each side of their head and a tail with a triangle pointed end. They are rather tall, well praticaly everyone is taller than me, wearing buisness looking school clothes and are rather lean looking. There are about ten of them and almost all of them have black hair. Except one, she has long, beautiful bright red hair. She's absolutely beautiful. I can feel my face getting warm as I look at her. As I look at heart, her eye from the side looks at me and I freeze. She looks away and continues walking with others. It looked like her eye was red colored with a black pupil. "Who are they?" "They're the Houndoom family or the "Royal Hounds" as some of us call them. They're the richest and most powerful family around in this town. People also call them the most attractive too." "Really?" "Yep, royal snobs if you ask me. They look down on everyone. Just leave them alone and you'll be fine." Marty always had what was best for a person. He's right. The sound of a bell being rung echoed throughout the courtyard. "Well, we need to get to the gym for the meeting. Follow us Ricky." "Alright." You know, with friends like these, maybe this school won't be so bad.
