AVNEIL ONE SHOT: MEHERBANI

**Neil's point of view**

It's been almost a year since that incident took place. Avni, carefully clutched in my arms, leaving her body behind, her soul leaving for her heavenly home. The incident came to me as a shock. The girl whom I loved, my first love dying in my arms, struggling to say all her words she could manage to her parents, my parents and well to me too. "Sirji, jeep ah gayi hai". I heard DD calling me. I sighed. After that tragic incident, I became a police officer but first I had to go for training which lasted for 9 months and after that, I became the ACP of Mumbai. I went to the jeep and sat in the passenger seat. I still remember the day when we met. I swear to God, she was the most beautiful girl I have ever saw and well the smartest girl also.

**FLASHBACK**

A boy wearing a white shirt and black denim came to view after he parked his bike in the parking lot. He was the most handsome guy in college. He was in 3rd year yet he was single. Ever wonder why? He had honey chocolate orbs and a well-shaped face cut with a light, fully grown yet well-kept beard. His best friends were Mitali, Ali, Vidyut, Juhi and DD. He went to meet them and said,

Neil: Yo, guys. What's up?

Ali: Hey Neil, you know today my bestie is joining our college.

Neil: Really!!! What's her name?

Mitali: Her name is Avni.

Vidyut: Waiting eagerly to meet her.

Juhi: Guys, we will meet her but first let us go to our class or else we will be late.

Neil: You all go I will come back in a jiffy.

Juhi, Vidyut, DD, Mitali and Ali: Okay, bye Neil.

Neil and the others parted their ways. Neil was walking towards the canteen when he collided with a girl. His reflex made him hold her by the waist to prevent her from falling and remove the hair strands covering her face. He was extremely shocked. Well either because of his reflex that made him remove the hair strands, desperate to look at her face or to have the view of the world's most beautiful girl. Well, not exactly the world's beautiful girl but she was, at least for him. The girl had her eyes closed thinking she did fall and was waiting to touch the ground. But when she didn't feel the cool marble floor against her face, she opened her eyes only to look at the most beautiful orbs she had ever come across. She was healthy and had milky white skin. She had deep black orbs, hair that touched her waist and a smile that was killing Neil from inside. They stood like that who knows for how long before breaking the eye contact. Neil straightened her and mumbled an apology. The girl just smiled at him and said that it was okay. She asked him to the principal's office and went from there after saying thanks. Neil stood there, transfixed, thinking about the beautiful incident before coming back to earth.

Neil came to the class and took his seat waiting for his seatmate to come and have a seat. When no one came to seat beside him, he wondered who would be his seatmate. He glanced around but couldn't find anyone without a seat. The teacher came inside and then only he came to know why. The teacher was followed by the girl that he collided with before. She introduced herself as Avni Ayesha and the teacher said that she would be starting her journey with them as a student from now on. Avni was asked to sit beside Neil. Neil and Avni introduced themselves and that's how it all began. FRIENDSHIP. They started spending time with each other, visiting each others house not aware of the fact that their families were rivals of each other. Doing projects and all. Their family members were also not aware of the fact that they were their rival's child, happily accepting their friendship and thought they were perfect for each other.

Time went by and their friendship grew stronger than before and also they had developed feelings for each other, and their bond grew stronger day after day. It was time for the final exams. The exams ended much faster than they expected. Neil who was hell worried if he should propose Avni or not was encouraged by their friends, comforting him by their words. After the exams, Neil proposed to Avni and she happily accepted because she also had developed feelings for him. Soon they told their respective families and they agreed to get them married.

It was a fine summer day. Both the families decided to come to a cafe to talk about their children's future. But when they came face to face with each other, they only badmouthed about each other.

Ki Bin Jaane Hi Hum Sanwar Gaye

They dragged both of their children with them and left. Both the families decided to get them married to someone else. But they didn't know that their friends would come to their rescue. Both Avni and Neil ran away with their friends to get married. But they got caught by their families. A huge fight broke between their families and before anyone could process what was happening, someone took out a revolver to kill Neil. But before the bullet hit Neil, Avni came in front and got shot. She fell on Neil's arms and was breathing her last breaths. She managed to fumble few words before she closed her eyes.

I came out of my world as I reached my destination. THE MEHTA MANSION. I ran to reach the door and rang the doorbell. She came to open the door. My Avni came. She was beautiful just like the way she was when we met for the first time. Didn't changed a bit. Well, she did but only to become more beautiful.

Sab log kehte hai yeh pyaar hai jo avni wapas moth ke mukh se wapas ah gayi lekin main kehta hu ki yeh uski meherbaani hai jo woh wapas ah gayi moth se larkar. Hai teri meherbaani.
