Sotus - ?

I'm not sure if Sotus is just a tv series or if it was originally a book. I have only watched the first season so far and that is it. However that being the case I ask myself a lot of questions about the characters. Like who their parents are? What they do for a living? What is their families financial situation like?
You might think what these questions have to do with the story and really they have thus far not really been important to the plot. However in the world of fanfiction and in the pursuit of plot bunnies they are fun 'what if ' questions.
For example in western countries being gay is bad to people because of their religion beliefs. However Thailand is primarily Buddhist and I don't think Buddhism has the same beliefs as religions like Christianity. (I'm not really  sure though I'm not Buddhist) However like in many countries being gay is bad because the family name, business, wealth, titles, etc can not be continued or passed on and will die off. (And being single parent or having baby without marriage is shameful in some cultures too)
Realistically if these characters were real people and gay these question, Like who their parents are? What they do for a living? What is their families financial situation like? Would be important factors when struggling with your sexuality. Like if your family was rich I would assume that the parent would want to pass on the family name and wealth. Not to mention what it means to be accepted in certain social circles.
  With this information in mind......
Questions
- How is Kongpob so comfortable and confident falling in love with a man when he was not really gay?
He just loves Arthit alone and even he questioned himself before accepting Kong.
- what makes Kong so confident? Family relationship, past experiences, familial support?

I hope this post gets my writers asking these questions that hopefully results in stories. Like always thank you for reading and I hope to read many bl stories in the future.
