I woke up in a dark room. It was only lit up by a heart rate monitor and a TV with a VCR underneath it. I looked around and all I could see from the dim lights was my shoes in a corner, a blacked out window, blood bags all across the floor spewing blood from them, and a poster of Britany Spears in a nurse's outfit saying, "Oh, baby, baby." With a crying baby in her hand.
After a silent minute of panic the TV turned on with a blast of static that echoed across the room. A doll that appeared to be a blue Elmo with devil eyes appeared on the screen surrounded by computers that showed me on them. I started to franticly shake to get out of what was a chair, but I couldn't get out of it because my hands were tied down by rope.
"Hi ya Michael!" Said the creepy Elmo doll. "Welcome to my magical world. Today you've been chosen as one of the best people to get out of a deadly situation." I started crying while staring at the TV screen. "You must get loose from the rope that holds you down, but be warned! If your heart rate exceeds that number, then you could die!" The Elmo doll started chuckling. I looked at the monitor and there was a band aid on it that showed the number, '135'. My heart rate was at 109 and it was slowly rising. I took a deep breath to calm myself down and it slowly started to go down. I looked at the TV again to see the doll with an apron and a surgical mask on. "If your heart rate exceeds that number, a needle will be injected into you, paralyzing you and ending you." The doll started to chuckle. "The tools before you will help you in your escape." A light flashed on and showed three tools on the floor, a hammer, a scalpel, and a saw. I looked at the doll who brought in a dummy on a gurney, with a bed pan. "There is a key hidden in one of your thighs that can be used to get you out of the rope and that can stop the monitor." There was a moment of silence. "You have sixty seconds. Begin." The video cut out and a timer overhead started to count down.
I looked down and tried to grab any tool I could with my toes. Once my toes made contact they got burned and I moved them back. There was a thermostat on the side telling me they were over '200 degrees'. I then quickly out of a rush of adrenaline, grabbed any tool while it burned my toes. I tossed the tool up onto my lap, which started to burn my lap. I stretched out my fingers to grab a saw and once I got ahold of it, I started to panic because I had to cut my own thigh to escape, but then I realized, its rope that's bounding me down. I move the saw towards the rope and started cutting it. Once I cut the rope off one hand I started cutting the other bounded hand. Once I was free I looked at the timer to see '20 seconds' left. I started to panic because now I had to worry about the needle and the heart rate monitor which started to slowly climb again. I turned to the chair to see the needle attached to the chair and not on me. I look at the monitor climbing up and finally reaching '135'. The needle started ejecting the fluids, but only into the air.
I walk to the door and opened it with ease, but I was greeted to a cart with alcohol and pills on it. I grabbed the alcohol and searched the building. After a moments search, I found the demented blue Elmo. I saw a box of matches and knew what to do. I opened the bottle and drenched it. I then lit a match and threw it on the doll. I watched the doll slowly melt from the flames and left without another word.
