It all sourced back to the massive loss that fell upon your parent's company, resulting in a major drawback and a hell lot of employees losing their jobs; your parents included.
You, still early in seventeen years old and fully aware of the problem they are having right now, goes willingly to their request of moving you to your older brother. Temporarily, of course, they loved you too much to let you go for a long period of time. One whole year is bad enough to be separated away from you, much less two or more.
But they acknowledged, even though sadly, that they must put you under the care of your independent and working brother if they wish for you to lead a better future ahead.
So, instead of surrending into their clingy love and chained you forever under their holds, they puffed out their chests and transported you to a quiet town unknown by the map with the name of Queasie. An odd name, but at least its pronouncable and not overly complicated unlike some other solitary towns you've read on the internet.
Back to your current situation, with a suitcase held by one hand and along with a backpack over your shoulders, you scanned the people around the small airport of Queasie, trying to find your older brother.
It was a quick flight from the city to where you are now, only an hour and half; but you still feel drained off regardless. Your hair are a mess, your eyes having a tired look on it, and there's a noticable frown on you as well; all in all, the world could tell easily that you're more than glad to hit your head on bed and fell into a blissful sleep. Or death. Blissful death also sounds amazing at this point.
Thankfully though, you don't need to wallowed in exhaustion any longer.
"[ Y/n ]?" You turned around, face immediately brighten up at the voice that you haven't long heard directly to your ears. "Oh my, it is you!" And all of the sudden, you are glomped into a warming hug, pair of lean but long arms wrapping around you tightly.
"Carlo!" You chirped out happily, a grin on your face as you snuggled onto his chest. "You've gotten so tall! I barely reach your shoulders now!"
Giancarlo, nicknamed Carlo, is your only sibling. He is a sweet, and gentle guy with smiles that have often melts many hearts. He used to be sluggish, disinterested by the world and people around him; or, well, that was what your parent told you when they first adopted you.
And he was. Carlo have an empty look in his eyes, a cold expression that sent chill down to your spine in the first few weeks you began to lived with him. But eventually, you've grown to gotten used to it and even striked a lot of conversations with him; mainly about cartoon and toys and your peers at school, seeing as you were only six-years old back then.
But even with your childish topics, he always listened to your every words intently. Causing your younger self to babbled on even more.
And looking at him now, the old him is now officially gone, replaced by a confident man who stood straight with a charming smile on his face. Heck, he even gotten himself a job now! He is tutoring children in music, which you thought was wicked awesome.
Actually, everything about him are all wicked awesome to you. Period.
Carlo lets out a chuckle as he looked down on you with an amused glint in his brown eyes. "Or maybe it is you who is shrinking in size? You are still so adorable and fluffy-looking." And then there's his teasing.
