I wake up with a heavy headache on a hotel bed with a girl to my right still deep in her sleep. She is pretty, she has fair skin with freckles decorating her skin, short blonde hair and green eyes if I recall correctly. I have been with way too many pretty girls but none of them can annihilate my arrogant strong as rock. I can't imagine myself settling down with someone that I am going to spend the rest of my life with. I have no idea how it feels like to see a particular person's face every single day. How do you even maintain a feeling for the same person in a long period of time?

I left the hotel and currently I am driving my car at high speed on my way to get a decent breakfast. I don't have any appointment today because lately the company has been getting a lot of serious business so my dad fully participate. I have a bunch amount of time on my hand. I stop at a coffee shop to get ice americano and hang for a bit. I finally get my coffee and sit down on a chair.
"Excuse me, you are sitting on my place," A voice comes behind me, I look back to find a brown-haired girl using a gray sweater, black jeans and a pair of boots. The moment I see her I can tell that she is as exhausted as someone who works 24 hours non-stop.
"Find another chair then."
"What did you say? I was here first and you have the audacity to tell me to get up and find another chair?" She answers in a way that gives me even more headache, "Where is your manner?" She continues.
I groan, "Seriously piss off, man. What is so hard about finding another chair? Besides I am having a hangover right now, so don't try me."
My reply makes her stay silent and look at me with a deadly stare then she breaks the ice with a laughter, "I don't even know you but you are a prick, aren't you? You are a selfish prick who thinks you have the world in your hand," She glares at me.
"Alright, chill, don't need to be so heated," I stumble as I am trying to get up causing my coffee to spill on her paper, both of us give a surprise look to the sight but the girl, she is obviously losing her shit now.
"Oh shit, sorry my bad."
Her face gets red and her chest goes up and down rapidly, right in that moment I am just waiting for her to slap me but instead she just looks down to the floor beneath her feet for a minute straight and look up to me with a forced smile, zero words. I raise my eyebrows, it is very weird that she doesn't try to attack me because those papers seem important.
"Sorry for what I said to you earlier."
She gathers her things before putting it in her bag then stomps her way out of the coffee shop.
I won't lie she was pretty, she had an aura that I have never felt before and the way that she speak made me feel sober, it was a struck when she didn't lose her shit after what I did to her things. I was expecting her to be rude back to me. It is a good thing but i feel bad for taking her spot in the first time. From the corner of my left eye I spot a small light pink wallet which I am guessing belongs to the girl I had an argument with, inside is some money and cards, like what you would find in a normal wallet. I take out what seems like to be her  ID card to find out what her name is. Based on the ID card her name is Aria Thomas and two years younger than me. I stare at her picture on the card for the longest time before snapping to reality. I am thinking about giving her wallet back but I can't be bothered with going to her place even though it is only a few blocks away.

I slide behind the wheels and step on my gas to go back home. I am stopping at a red light when a girl crossing the road catches my attention; it was Aria. I look to my passanger seat where I put her wallet, "why not?" So I take a turn and park my car. I follow her to her destination which is a supermarket. Aria goes straight to the alcohol section with a frown across her face then she grabs some beer from the shelf.
"That one tastes flat," I state my opinion.
Aria jumps a bit before looking to my direction.
"What you're following me now?" Aria rolls her eyes, "flat or not I just need to chug something down and besides I don't have that much money at the moment."
"You're going to need this," I thrust the wallet towards her.
"How the heck this thing is with you?"
"I don't know, you are just really reckless. By the way put that beer down it's not worth the bucks," I say and try to look for the one that tastes good, "Here, this one tastes better."
"Thanks for the advice," Aria says before snatching the beer from my hand and goes straight to the counter. I tail her down to the queue, wait for her turn to pay and as the guy scans her bottle I take out my wallet to pay for it.
"What are you doing? Take back your money," Aria says in confusion.
"A small act of kindness won't hurt nobody last time I check."
Aria laughs as she walks away from the counter, I step beside her to watch her open her beer and chug it down.
"A few minutes ago you told me to piss off and here you are now paying my drink. What are you trying do, boy? Got something nasty on your mind," She says with a sarcastic tone.
"No, I just want to do it. A thank you would be nice."
"Thank you for ruining my papers? Oh yeah sure."
I stay quiet as I keep my pace steady.
"Just kidding. Thank you stranger for the drink."
"You're welcome, Aria."
"Whoa, so you went through my wallet, too?"
I don't answer and keep on walking next to her God knows where she is going.
"Brennen. Brennen Taylor," I introduce myself to her even if she doesn't ask.
"Oh that's weird because I live on Taylor Street," She smiles then takes a sip from her beer.
"Such a coincidence," I smile.
"Sorry I lost my shit earlier, I was just exhausted and all of the sudden a stranger sat on my place plus he spilled his drink on my paper; like I was exploding internally."
"I'm sorry, I know I was a jackass there. Were those papers important?" I am surprised that I can hear a bit of worry in my voice while talking to someone I just met. I don't even worry most people I have met for a long time. It feels as if the Brennen talking is not me.
Aria looks down to the ground, "No worries, I have the softcopy I just have to print it again."
"I am really sorry.."
"It's okay, Brennen. I was overreacting back there."
We walk side by side, in silent for the next exact three minutes when Aria asks jokingly if I'm going to follow her home  because that is where she is heading now to which I reply, "I have a car down the road and I can drop you off, you know, to pay back my jackass act."
Aria looks at me, an eyebrow raised with that what are you trying to do look.
"Chill, I don't sleep with average-looking girl," I say in a sarcastic tone while rolling my eyes.
"Hey!" Aria exclaims and hit my hand.
Long story short, I end up dropping her off at her apartment. The ride didn't have much talking, it was just cold ice until Aria had to tell me where to go. She  kept on checking her phone God knew what she was doing but I put my money on a boyfriend. I didn't care so I stayed quiet as well not bothering to start a conversation. To be honest, It wasn't an uncomfortable silent. I don't know why, could be because I was so focused on the road but the silent didn't bother me to the bones at all, even a 20 minutes ride felt like 10.
"So yeah, this is it," Aria says, "Thanks for the ride, appreciate it."
I look at Aria who is giving me a smile, not going to lie; she has a sweet smile. I give her a slight nod as she opens the door, gets out, goes around the front of my car and steps into her apartment. After her figure vanishes from my sight I throw my head back and her smile sticks on the back of my mind.
"Oh god, what is this? I can't like that girl she is nothing other than someone I just met hours ago," I talk to myself, "stick on being a jerk, boy. It is just a stupid thought."
