//Addison//
I completely lied. Everything about the last 24 hours has been a lie. But I can't just tell my mom that I was at a huge party with crazy seniors who were basically having sex right in front of me. I didn't do anything too bad, at least I don't remember doing anything too awful. I slightly remember getting a little bit closer to Leo than I should've. We talked for a long time, and he kissed me. It was long, sweet, and delicate. I shouldn't have let him kiss me because he was drunk and I was drinking and we aren't together. I can't think of that now, it's six A.M. and I have school in 2 hours.
"Addison get up." My mother barged in, and yanked the covers off me.
"I am up." I replied, pulling my knees into my chest.
"Breakfast is in 10, and I expect you completely ready by seven."
"Seven?! School doesn't even start until 8!" I exclaimed.
"Yes, I am aware. You and I will be taking a little drive." She said and walked out of the room.
By 'little drive' she meant a long talk on how I need to straighten out my priorities and how the pathway I am going down is only going to lead to certain problems. These "problems" include a) unplanned pregnancy (which makes no sense since I'm 100% a virgin) b) drug addictions c) jail time d) expulsions. I've had this conversation with her many times, it's the only time she actually finds the time to talk to me.
"It's 6:10, get down here for breakfast!" My mother yelled from the kitchen. I pushed myself from the bed and walked downstairs. August was wiping his eyes and yawning, Amaya and Andrew were both in their high chairs.
"Morning Gus." I said giving him a hug.
"Hi Addy." He looked up at me with his big eyes, he's a spitting image of his parents.
"I made pancakes. How many would you like?" My mother looked back at me.
"Just one. Thanks." She passed a plate towards me, and I ate quickly, rushing to go get ready.
Dashing into the bathroom, I brushed my teeth and put on as much makeup as I could. I grabbed a t shirt, jeans and my black high tops just in time to go. Most of the time Natalie, my moms good friend, takes us to school and the younger ones to daycare because my mom is busy. This morning however, she took the younger three and left me with my mom.
"I'll meet you in the car, okay?" She walked towards her room. I went into the garage and sat in the car, a few minutes later my mother came in and started the car.
"Addison, I know you don't want to hear this..." She started.
"You're right about that." I chimed in.
"You know that the choices you've been making are not responsible. This is your third high school and I don't want you to mess it up."
"Well you know what they say, third times the charm."
"Can you be serious for one moment?" She raised her voice. My phone buzzed, it was from Leo. 'Hey, want a ride to school?"
"Yeah, yeah, mom. Sure."
'I wish, but my mom..'
"Addison give me your phone."
"No!"
"Give me your phone." She held her hand out and I put my phone in her palm. "I'm not going to have you running around and getting drunk. It's unacceptable, and not to mention disgraceful. I get that it's a new school and you want to make friends, but I'm not going to have you making them that way." She was nearing the school, and I had my hand on the handle waiting to get out.
"Okay mom, I'll make better choices next time. Is that what you want to hear?" I asked sarcastically.
She pursed her lips, "We're done here, Addison."
"Yeah, we always are." I said, pushed open the door, and ran the rest of the way to school.
