Sunday morning came and Nishinoya stopped by to pick Alex up. Said boy rushed down the stairs, open bag dropping the contents that was held inside.
When Alex ran by, you picked up a forgotten shoe that landed sideways on the bottom step of the stairs.
"Alex," you called.
The boy turned around in time to catch the the white shoe and make his hair even messier than it had already been.
"Brush your hair out. You look like a sasquatch." you made your way to the back and continued with your work.
"A handsome sasquach though, right?"
You laughed and slammed your hands on the dark grey counter of the cash.
"Have you ever seen a sasquach? Oh nevermind just get your hairy little head out of here and play some volleyball."
Alex nodded, running outside to go sit in Nishinoya's car as Nishinoya stayed back to talk to you.
"Practice ends early today. I was wondering if I could finally take you out on that date?"
Nishinoya leaned on the counter and watched as you pulled out small chunks of candy and began forming them into little animals.
"I though you said that it didn't matter," you teased letting your elbows rest on the counter directly across from him.
"I'll admit, holding your attention is amazing, but I want to spoil you for a night. At least before we get any snowstorms."
The footsteps of Nari were heard upstairs as she probably began making herself a coffee. You paused for a moment, making sure she wasn't going to head down.
"Ok Prince Charming you've one me over, if you get Alex home before dinner to help out, I'll let you carry me out of here."
Nishinoya smiled and leaned over the counter to get closer to you, ruffling his neat (now messy) hair in the process. Once he made sure that his face was a comfortable distance away from yours he lowered his voice. Your hands slowed to a stop as they folded to rest on the table.
"You sure?"
You nodded, and before any more distance could be taking away between the two of you, a loud horn sounded from outside the shop.
"You should get going before he decides it's a good idea to drag you out of here."
Nishinoy a nodded, leaning forward to press a quick peck on your forehead, before running out the door and into his car.

Nari came downstairs just after Sugawara entered from the front door and they greeted each other as they each threw in an apron.
The two started working on seperate batches of candy as you spoke to contomers that wanted to hold a conversation.
A small girl who held her mother's hand asked you repetitive questions about the shop and the candy inside it.
"Do you want to see how we make it?" you asked.
The little girl nodded and dragged her mother (who was looking at the different candy) to follow after you. The girls blonde hair bobbed as she ran to the counter you now stood behind.
"Okay," you said pointed over the counter to the display case that it was made of. "Which one do you want?"
Both the mother and the daughter looked at you curiously before the girl smiled and sprang up.
"Oh, could you do a koi fish?"
Smilling you nodded and grabbed a chunk of the sugar before spinning it on a stick. You pills so it the need tools and began showing the girls the step by step of making the candy. You began speaking to the mother while her daughter was distracted.
"You're very good with kids. It's to get this one to settle down sometimes."
You laughed, "imagine have over 20. You learn tricks to keep them occupied. They seem to take a liking to things that they get a reward out of, candy is great for that."
The mother's blonde hair swished as she dropped her head downward.
"Over 20? How do you take care of them all?"
"Well, this place is an orphanage so that explains the number, but I get help from my friends. Nari lives here so she's here all the time and Sugawara comes here everyday. It's a full-time job."
The woman nodded and then her brows furrowed. "Did you say, Sugawara?" she asked.
You tilted your head. "I'm guessing you went to Karasuno also?"
She nodded, "Yachi Hitoka, I was one of the managers for the team." she bowed, you did the same walking with your own introduction and began wrapping the finished 'lollipop' in a clear plastic wrapper.
You laughed, more in shock than humor.
"I swear. Whenever I meet someone from Karasuno they're from the volleyball team."
Yachi laughed allong. You grabbed a second sweet from behind the display and handed it to the two girls.
"On the house." you said as the little girl was immersed in observing the finished candy.
Yachi smiled. "Thank you, I'll stop by tomorrow if that's alright. I do want to say hello to Sugawara again but got work to to."
You nodded and let your body rest against the counter.
"Never a chance for rest. I see you."
Yachi nodded and left out the front door, daughter in tow.
Sugawara came up behind you and set a hand on your shoulder.
"Did that happen to be Yachi?"
You nodded, "don't worry, she said she would stop by tomorrow to say hi. Now come one back to work."
