     goro akechi, ace detective, the most famous detective in japan, child prodigy. all those things could be applied to akechi. but to you, he was the cute classmate that you caught gazing at you multiple times every day.

     you were far too nervous to approach him or even mention it. maybe you were imaging things, maybe you were just full of yourself. no way the goro akechi would be gazing at you from across the classroom, you just happened to be right in front of the board and he was looking past you. your pen tapped rapidly on your desk as everyone around you talked and laughed amongst one another. you were too distracted to even talk to your friend, hina. it wasn't until you felt someone staring at you and than you felt a soft tap on your shoulder.

     "ehh, _______-chan are you alright?" hina asked as your turned to face her.

     you turned around in your desk to face the girl and nodded, "yeah i'm fine....just thinking is all..." your voice trailed off as you looked at where akechi sat. and there he was staring at you with the softest look on his face, his light brown eyes widened for a moment before they scrunched slightly as he gave you a small smile before tilting his head down to work on whatever he had been doing.

     you felt your cheeks heat up instantly immediately causing hina to raise a brow, "________?" she mumbled as she turned her head to follow your gaze, and it landed on akechi. "do you like akechi-kun?" she snickered as she turned to face you again.

     rolling your eyes you replied, "no, we just made awkward eye contact is all. leave me alone..." you muttered embarrassedly as you turned around facing the board and began drawing in your notebook to distract yourself.

     akechi really was looking at you, you could of swore it. it wasn't a coincidence, he smiled at you, he looked so gentle. you couldn't believe it. you smiled softly.
