'Oh, why don't you just fuck off, Millie?' Yoongi acts in front of the class, clasping a script between his fingertips. He reads the next couple of lines on the script as quickly as possible, before Ms Lawrence (our Drama teacher), stood up and flailed her hands in the air.
Ms Lawrence was the kind of Drama teacher who would over react in the smallest situations, yet do almost nothing in situations that actually had dangerous or serious outcomes, and she was the sort of person who would force us to do Drama work on the last day of Summer. She wore her hair into a slick back bun, and her glasses framed her face shape so femininely. She wore average clothes, mostly leggings, a baggy comfy jumper and some jazz drama shoes, all along with natural make up and a soothing calming voice.
'Very good, Yoongi,' She smiles widely. 'But I think we have had enough swearing and cursing today. Bravo and Brava to you two, Yoongi and Millie.'
Hoseok loudly claps and jumps wildly in his seat, giggling and bouncing up and down continuously, and as Yoongi and I walked back to our seats in the Drama room, I giggle towards Hoseok while Yoongi stared in utter confusion, making me suddenly embarrassed.
'That was so good, Mills,' Hoseok said enthusiastically, his mocha eyes glistening once again and his smile wide and true. 'And you were great too, Yoongi.'
'Thanks,' Yoongi mumbles again, taking his seat, which was a couple of seats away from mine and Hoseok's. The way Yoongi's personalities switched was somewhat fascinating, and how he can become so loud, optimistic and openly confident to being a quiet, husky and closely confident man from when he was on and off stage. He sat in his chair lazily, his back slumped and curved, and he swiftly pulled his phone out of his back pocket, and unlocked it freely. I kept my eyes onto him, even though Hoseok had stood up to perform his own monologue to the class.
'Now, Hoseok,' Ms Lawrence says nervously, with an awkward yet inviting smile. 'What will you be talking about today?'
'I will be talking and performing about the dangers of Summer, of course,' Hoseok says with great pride, smiling and gesturing his hands within every syllable.
'Go ahead,' Ms Lawrence answers, while leaning back and beginning to watch the performance. However, as the rest of the class watched in awe at the sunshine of our class, I couldn't help but keep on staring in awe at the moonlight of our class, Min Yoongi.
We had been companions and class mates for averagely four consecutive years now, and I must say he is quite a character to our school. He's so... different. Different to the others in ways I can not describe. Yoongi is the boy who does not show up to practice to his Basketball, but as soon as he is on that court, it's as if he knows nothing else. He's the kind of boy to messily sketch a stick man in a decayed notebook, but it somehow looks like a masterpiece. He's the kind of boy that stays in the sun way too much, yet still looks as pale as the beauty of the moonlight. He's the kind of boy who would also stay inside, but yet have so many of outside events. He's the kind of boy who sleeps all day and night, yet somehow is still sleepy twenty four seven. He's the kind of boy you want to know, you want be friends with, yet you want to remain distant from him. He's the kind of boy who is so popular, yet doesn't attend to any social events... Which is why I'm particularly interested within his party this evening... Like what would he wear? What music would he play? What does his house look like? Family? What if I hook up with somebody? What if I hook up with... Him?
Ha, me? With Min Yoongi? That's a long stretch.
His thumbs touched his phone continuously while typing and texting, to whom I don't know. He swipes left and right, and the corners of his mouth stretch out into a grin. I smile and breathe out deeply, as if his aurora and smile was contagious and overwhelming.
His smile didn't occur for long, of course, his face looked up and became shadowed once more, and we looked upon our Hoseok who was halfway through his performance.
'... And what if it's too late...' Hoseok empowers to the class majestically, throwing his arms left and right, beckoning the audience to their full attention. 'We're the ones to blame... Stay safe this Sunmer!'
Despite me not listening to a single word he said due to my eyes being stuck on Yoongi (haha whoops), I still stood and applauded my best friend, who bowed in high confidence.
Before Hoseok could even begin his thank you's and good luck's for the Summer, the shattering buzz of the bell beckoned within our ear drums, and the whole class belted through the door, cheering, singing and dancing.
'Oh... Have a nice...' Hoseok screamed after, but everybody had left apart from four individuals... Me, himself, Ms Lawrence and of course, Yoongi. '... Summer.'
'Aw, it's okay, Hoseok!' I say, standing up and hugging him. 'We'll see them tonight at the party.'
'So you're still coming?' Yoongi coolly says, not looking up at me and Hobi.
'... I said in the corridor earlier-'
'Are you coming or not?' he says, rude, obnoxious yet simple.
'... Yes,' I say, drawing my eyes to the floor, embarrassed and humiliated almost.
'Okay,' he says calmly, biting his lip and swinging his backpack over his shoulders. 'Bye, Ms Lawrence.'
'Have a lovely Summer, Yoongi,' Ms Lawrence says smiling awkwardly and eyeing him as he strolled out of the classroom. 'Are you sure you two are going to be okay at the party tonight?'
'We'll be fine!' Hoseok squeals, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. 'As long as Millie has me, she'll be as pure as a baby. Isn't that right, Mills?'
'Right,' I say bluntly.
'Ugh, come on! One more class then we're out! We have Gym!'
Ugh. Gym. On the last day! Are you fucking kidding me?
'Ugh. Bye, Miss, have a lovely Summer,' I say smiling, being dragged out of the classroom by my best friend.
The corridors were empty, hollow yet bright and beautiful. Before I could even walk towards Gym class, I get pulled into a corner by Hoseok, and he shushes me quietly and wraps his arms around my mouth.
'What the fuck are you doing-'
'Shut up, Mills,' he whispers, kneeing me softly and I do as he says. 'What's Yoongi doing?'
What? I turn my head slightly around the corner, to see Yoongi just... standing there. No emotion was upon his face whatsoever, his posture was unreadable - his posture and face was just a lump of nothingness, oblivion. He shrugs down into his trouser pocket, and pulls out two things - a phone, and a cigarette.
'Yoongi smokes?' I said, disgusted.
'Shhh!' Hoseok repeats.
'... Ew,' I say, kissing my lips. 'I hate smoking.'
Yoongi turns, and walks away while shoving the cigarette into his pocket, yet his phone remained inbetween his white cocoa fingers.
'Weird,' Hoseok says, pulling me out from the corner. 'Do you think he smokes? Or he's just keeping it for a friend?'
'I have no idea,' I say. 'Loads of people smoke these days.'
'Yeah but... Yoongi's a control freak, isn't he?'
'What do you mean?' I ask, curiosity filling me even more now.
'He's a control freak, apparently.'
A control freak?
