"Why do I have to get up? Why does life insist me to leave my resting haven" Those words swirled in my mind for what seemed like hours. I mean not literally otherwise I'd be late for work.....work I start work at 8:45 and it's 8:40. My eyes burst opened as I practically jumped out of bed and threw some clothes on and dashing out, shoving a slice of bread into my mouth "I'm late I'm late I'm laaaate"
Eventually I got into work, bang on time (how I have no idea) and walked into the office. My office. The same office that I had worked in for years. I took a seat and my first client walked in. His name was Levi and apparently something happened that.... blah blah blah I'm not going to waste your time on details.
A few minutes later I heard a number of deep knocks on the door "come in" I stated. The next thing new my life had turned upside down as he walked in...as Levi, walked in
"G-good morning um.... mister Akerman?" The man known as Levi Akerman nodded and assumed his seat opposite me, then those eyes, cold, grey.....protective.
I snapped out of my mini trance and started with normal greetings "my name is Eren Yeager, I'm going to be your anger management therapist for the next few weeks" I tagged a confident smile at the end as if this were a game until he spoke.....pfft more like took my breath away.
"Weeks? My others I had for months, a year once. Tch" he looked to one side annoyed and crossed his arms keeping his composure immaculate.
"Well we do live in a damned world don't we" I tried breaking the ice between us which I must say got a response. Weather it was good or not would come down to how I answered.
"Why should I believe you're any different?" He stared. No. Pierced me with those eyes they searched me. Lost me.
Coming to my senses once again again I thought I had the best response anyone could give "because you've never had me as a therapist before, what's to stop me from treating you like just another patient? Just another routine everyday client, why should I treat you any different from the rest?"
At, those words, he flinched. I saw it! Me! And jeez I barley even knew the guy, but hey. They call it a flinch for a reason "otherwise it'll come over this desk and punch you in your face"
I stared at him, expecting more, but when no more came I was just left there, staring, again. I. Was. Speechless.
"Are you just going to stare at me all day? Or are you gonna try to help me?" The bluntness of his speech was so......dominant... I smirked to myself and shivered in my chair.
"Ok, well. What do you like doing?" I asked in a calm voice, it worked with a number of other clients however I wasn't sure if this masterpiece in front of me was just another number, he was probably an equation all to himself.
"Tch, what do you mean?" Levi's questions are brutal, relentless and are stretching me for answers, but hey, they're not impossible to answer
"Would I be lying if I said that there was not a single thing on this earth that you like doing?" He looked at me, differently inquisitively almost then shook me to my core with his response
"No"
