Grace and Phoebe! Book 4: Phoebe's Digital Dilemma

Phoebe's Gift

       Phoebe settled down in the Purse Palace to play her new video game, it had just arrived in the mail as a birthday gift from Grace! It was Phoebe's birthday, and a really good one at that. She had just gotten a new Xbox360 and Skylanders game and Starter Set for her birthday! She was having Grace record her unboxing the game, starter set, controller, and console so she could remember this moment her entire life.

Phoebe hooked up the Xbox360 to the TV and paired the controller. She gently opened the case to her new game. She popped the smooth disk into the Xbox. Phoebe hooked up the Skylander starter base to the Xbox and placed her favorite Skylander at first sight, Spyro!

Phoebe's paws were shaking as she held the controller in anticipation as the game booted up. The logo popped up onscreen. She pressed the START button to begin the game. After watching the short intro video and learning Spyro's controls and abilities, Phoebe was ready to begin the game. Phoebe walked around the island collecting treasure for a while, then went to a guide to begin her first chapter of the game. She had to collect the ancient water object before it got into the wrong hands!

And so, she had Spyro make through the intricate maze until she freezed in front of her first enemy. The game freezed and reminded her of the controls she would need to use to attack and defend Spyro. The TV screen began to swirl in a large, colorful spiral. Phoebe trotted closer to inspect what she thought was a glitch in the TV. Turns out, it was NOT a glitch...it was a portal. And Phoebe was involuntarily sucked into it...
