♥ Chapter 1: Monthly Evaluation pt.1 ♥

It was the day of the monthly evaluation, the 13 trainees were in the big practice room, waiting for Bang PD to show up.

They were nervous, because Bang PD said he had an announcement to make and they didn't know what to expect. They knew from the start that not all of them would get to debut, so they were expecting some of them to be sent home.

After what seemed like hours in the silent room, Bang PD entered. The girls got up and bowed respectfully.

"Hello girls." Bang PD said with a smile on his face. "You may sit." The girls sat down and waited for what the short man had to say.

"So I've told you before that I had an announcement, but I'll tell you after the evaluation. On the last monthly evaluation I told you that I expected you to show me your solo performances this month. Let's start, and see what all of you have prepared."

The man sat down on one of the chairs that were set out for him and the other teachers.

"First up, Orion." Bang PD called the eldest girl. She got up, she could feel her hands were sweating, and suddenly her mouth was dry. She's been in Big Hit for 6 years, but she always got nervous when performing in front of Bang PD.

"I will be dancing." She said through the mic, before setting it down on top of the big speaker in the room. She grabbed a table that was on the far end of the room and brought it to the middle.

When she finished her performance her smile grew really big. Everyone was looking at her in awe. Not ever had she given such a good performance. From Bang PD's face, it was clear that he was proud.

"Next, JiA." The next girl got up, took the mic in her hand, and started rapping.

"I was expecting better from you." Bang PD said as soon as the performance was over. "I'm not impressed." He added sternly. "You should think about singing, rapping isn't for everybody."

The girl was embarrassed. She lowered her head and sat down.

"Next, CJ." CJ got to the center of the room, with a big smile plastered on her face. She was confident, because she had rehearsed the song so many times, she was sure she wouldn't make a mistake.

CJ ended, the big smile still in her face, as she looked at Bang PD and her teachers, expecting compliments.

"Wow." Bang PD said, now with a smile on his face. "I didn't know you were this good. Every time you do a group dance I never see your full potential. I guess this evaluation came to show who are the talented ones." CJ smiled brightly and bowed.

"Next, Sophia." Bang PD said, and the girl immediately got up from her seat.

"I will be singing." She says through the mic with a small smile on her face.

When she was done, everybody was staring at her. It was known that her voice was one of the most beautiful between the trainees, but she was always overshadowed by the other trainees.

"Sophia, I am very proud of you. You've really grown, and I am glad to say that you are one of the best, if not the best vocalist in this group of 13 girls. You should be proud of yourself." Bang PD said with a chuckle. "Keep up the good work."

Sophia smiled proudly and went back to her seat, looking at Ji-A who was glaring at her.

"Next, Nelly."

The girl quickly got up and announced that she would be dancing. She wasn't the best dancer, but she had so much confidence and charisma that she could make anyone believe in her.

After she was done, she looked at the people judging her, waiting for their comments.

"You did better than I expected, but you are not a great dancer. I would like to see you singing or rapping." Bang PD said with a straight face. "You may sit."

The girl felt good, but not good enough to feel happy about her performance.

"Next, Ash." Ash always had a poker face. She was calm and reserved. She liked to let her voice show her true self.

She took the mic in her hands and started singing. In that moment it was just her, the music and her beautiful voice.

She finished beautifully. Everybody knew what she was capable of, so it was no surprise that she sang the song like it was her own.

"You are such a talented girl." Bang PD spoke, still very stupefied. "I'm glad I was convinced to pick you and let you stay until now." The girl gave a little smile and went back to her seat.

"Next, Orchid."

The girl walked up to the center and started to show her skills.

She showed a side unknown to many. They all knew she was an excellent rapper, but what they didn't know was that she could dance and act sexy. It was so surprising that Bang PD didn't have the words to compliment her.

"I liked this performance and this side of you. I hope you can show this side more often." Bang PD spoke with a smile on his face, showing how proud he was.

"Next, Yeon."

Yeon was ready. She's always ready. She was an insecure girl, but when it came to performing, she was confident in her skills, and she knew she had what it takes to debut and become a great star like her sunbaes.

Yeon finished her performance with a proud face. She knew she had given her all, and she was glad to hear Bang PD saying that she was really something special.

"Thank you." She said through the mic, after the good comments she received and went back to her seat.

"Next,..."
