Namjoon opened his eyes to see himself standing upon a rock swirling in the middle of a dense fog. He could only see a few yards in front of him due to the fog being so thick. He shook his black hair out of his eyes and tried to make sense of his surroundings. The stars above his head swirled but his surroundings weren't dark as they should have been if it was night.
"Am I dreaming?" He whispered to himself. The sudden noise sent shivers down his spine, he stood up straight and could not force himself to relax. Something was off.
He turned and his hair was swept up by a sudden light wind. He examined his surroundings once again and took in the fact that even thought there was dense fog, he could still see the outline of a figure in the distance, he had accepted the fact that he was dreaming at this point so he had no problem with running towards the figure. It was outlined the same way that Taehyung had been during their meeting, but this person obviously was not Taehyung. He was wearing no shirt as Taehyung had been, but Tae's signature jewelry was missing. Plus this mans body shape was different.
His shoulders were wider, and his tail was longer. Besides the fact that there was the dense fog, Namjoon could still make out his platinum blonde hair color.
Namjoon looked down to see that his legs had begun to move on their own and he was sprinting over the water in the direction of the man. His legs moved gracefully over the water without getting wet and he couldn't force himself to stop.
This dream is REALLY weird. Namjoon sighed and let himself be pulled towards the man. Though he didn't seem to be making any progress in his journey as the man stayed the same distance away, Namjoon could hear him now. He was singing a beautiful melody and his voice was pristine and clear. He did not falter once like Taehyung but his voice was higher while Tae's had been a low velvety sound. The more he ran, the clearer the sound got. Namjoon was obsessed now. He could not get enough of that sound and the knowledge finally hit him, though he did not bother to process it enough in his haste to get closer to the music.
This is the power of sirens.
Abruptly the singing stopped and the man turned to face Namjoon, still the same distance away and shrouded in fog like a cloak.
The mans plump lips did not move, but a silky voice filled Namjoon's head with a message that carried a surprising weight.
"Who are you?" Namjoon saw a flash of violet eyes and then a hand snaked out of the water and pulled him under the rough waves. Namjoon's mouth opened in a silent scream as water rushed over him and the coldness enveloped him. Once again, that wonderful voice filled his head.
"How did you get here?" Namjoon opened his eyes when he was under the waves to see the mans face finally close to him. The man looked confused for a split second before dismissively waving his hand through the water in between him and Namjoon. The hand holding onto Namjoon's ankle pulled him farther down in one quick yank and Namjoon got one last glance at the mans face before he passed out from lack of oxygen.
----------
Namjoon bolted upright in bed, gasping for oxygen in his lungs that had been filled with water what felt like seconds ago. He knew it had all been a dream, but it had beens so vivid and high definition it was hard to believe that his wild imagination had made it all up. He sat in bed for a little while longer before he finally got up and walked into the kitchen to make himself a glass of water. Today was a Saturday, so he did not have to go to work today and he could stay in his house for as long as he wanted. But the nightmare had left him with an energy that needed to be used. He thought about going for a walk around town or maybe calling Jackson, but he knew Jackson had somewhere to be this weekend.
Namjoon sighed and walked out of the kitchen door, slipping on a light jacket as he left. He stood on the front porch with his hands on the rail for a few minutes breathing in the crisp winter air and watching his breath form thick clouds from the sudden warmth.
As he stood there scanning the ocean he searched the beach for any signs of life and finally found one. There stood a young man named Jungkook who worked at the local cafe in town. He was sitting cross legged atop a rock near the water. He fiddled with the pages of a manga as though he couldn't focus. He was obviously waiting for someone. Eventually he saw Jungkook's head snap up as though he heard something. His head snapped to the water where a few bubbles were rising to the surface.
Namjoon stared dumb struck as Jungkook leaned over the side of the rock, his face inches away from the waves, his manga forgotten behind him. He reached his hand into the water and held his hand there for a few moments before he smiled his bunny smile and pulled his now wet hand out of the water. Following soon after was someone who Namjoon did not expect to see.
"Taehyung..." He whispered. Taehyung was decked out in his usual jewelry and as he pulled himself up onto the rock beside Jungkook. Taehyung smiled softly at Jungkook and ran his hand through Jungkook's brunette hair. Jungkook smiled with him and leaned into the touch like a cat. Taehyung giggled softly and put both of hands into Jungkook's hair and rubbed his hands together, leaving a piece of Jungkook's hair standing up at an unnatural angle.

They both sat on the rock for a few minutes, unaware that they were being watched by Namjoon. At first Namjoon thought that Taehyung was trying to take Jungkook as he had with Namjoon, but Tae showed no hostility towards Jungkook at all. Only happiness and a kind of... Love?
After a while of Jungkook talking and Taehyung leaning on his hand and smiling absentmindedly at the younger, Jungkook checked his watch and smiled sadly at Taehyung, signaling that he had to leave. Taehyung smiled sadly with him and beckoned Jungkook closer. Jungkook did so without hesitation and Tae planted a soft kiss on Jungkook's forehead. Jungkook blushed and grinned at Taehyung. Taehyung laughed and held Jungkook's hands as he stood. They placed their foreheads together and finally separated mournfully.
Jungkook waved at Taehyung and turned his back to the ocean to grab his book and climb back onto level ground. He waved one last time at Tae and disappeared into a building near the rock. Tae smiled again and dove back into the water. Heading in the opposite of Jungkook.
Namjoon had watched the full exchange with his mouth hanging wide open. Surprised at the sudden personality change with Taehyung and wondering how he had never noticed them seeing each other before this. He shrugged and sighed again before grasping the door handle, about to make his way back inside.
His hand froze in it's track when he heard it.
It was a man's voice singing a song that he knew he had heard before. The thought clicked into his head and before he had time to process it he was already running full speed to his row boat and tossing it into the water.
It was the song he had heard in his dream, and that meant the person singing it had to be the same man.
And Namjoon HAD to meet him.
