* if you are sensitive to:
-Murders that resemble suicide
-Addiction
then please do not read this story as the death in itself is particularly twisted and could be upsetting to some (it is not my intent to upset anyone with my stories) But anyway enjoy*

She had been watching him for a while now, studying him, following him. Her entire life was slowly becoming devoted purely to him. He confused her, and she loved it. His name was Duncan but she knew so much more than that; like the brand of hair gel he used in his wavy chestnut hair or the person he disliked the most on his football team. He was perfect, and he was hers. He just didn't know it yet. The girl didn't either apparently, she was too close to him and Peggy didn't like it. In her mind it was supposed to be Peggy and Duncan not Courtney and Duncan, however the girl did nothing but get in the way. Soon Peggy realized if she wanted to have Duncan, she would have to get rid of Courtney.
Peggy decided that the best way to get rid of her was to remove her from the scene altogether. She was going on a camping trip that weekend with her friend Joanne, and the hotel they were staying in just so happened to be in close proximity to Courtney's house, Peggy decided that this would be the best time to strike since she wasn't necessarily close to Courtney. She studied what Courtney did that whole week to see what her routine was and when the best time to catch her out would be, so it was no surprise that the girl quickly found out that Courtney kept a spare key in a potted plant that resided beside her front door. Her plan was set. That weekend before she left she had forged a note from her father and left for the pharmacy to collect some morphine. Since her father was a respected doctor in the town nobody questioned Peggy or the use of it and simply assumed it was for a family member or the doctor himself. She knew they wouldn't ask him about it either, due to patient confidentiality rules that he valued even in his own home.
Once she had returned home Peggy packed the morphine in the back of her bag. She had chosen morphine because of one simple fact that she had found out from her fathers patient files in his office. Courtney was a recovering morphine addict. This minuscule piece of knowledge perfected her plan.
That night Peggy left for the hotel they were planning on staying in for the first night. The summer holiday had started the week before, so getting time off of school wasn't an issue for her. After they arrived at the hotel and unpacked their bags Peggy told Joanne that she was going for shopping so that they had food for the trip as Joanne got ready for bed and made a quick exit. Peggy reached Courtney's house soon after and found the key with ease. Swiftly unlocking the door she crept into the small, quaint cottage. The small size of the house allowed the girl to quickly located Courtney's room, however the atmosphere changed once she set foot in the room. Peggy felt a twisted smirk snake onto her face as she silently removed the belt she was wearing and fastened Courtney's hands to her bedpost, resulting in a light snore from said girl. Peggy gasped and thanked her lucky stars that Courtney was a heavy sleeper. However the gasp soon turned into a light giggle, her plan was in action.
Courtney stirred at the sensation of cold metal rubbing on her wrists before the realisation that she was tied to her bedpost struck her. She frantically peered around, her eyes adjusting to the darkness that surrounded her.
"Ah! You're awake." An ominous voice mumbled from the shadows, causing the poor girl to jump. She began to wriggle frantically, trying desperately to escape the bonds that kept her trapped to her bed. In Peggy's view Courtney was decidedly pitiful, writhing around as if it was going to do anything. Courtney's head snapped to her left as footsteps approached her, only to meet Peggy's stone cold glare.
"W-what are you doing?" Her eyes widened with fear and she began to tremble as the cold end of a needle pressed into her arm, all she heard was a dark giggle before the morphine took over and her thoughts spiralled.
Once the morphine kicked in Peggy dragged Courtney through into the bathroom and placed her gently in the bathtub. Peggy the picked up the razor and approached Courtney who was away in her own dreamland. She started to slice and tear at the girls wrists, dragging the razor slowly and enjoying the process of ridding the world of such filth that would try to steal her Duncan. She then filled the bathtub and left the girl to bleed out. Peggy wandered back through to Courtney's room, only to notice an open laptop. She woke the screen up and quickly realised that she didn't require a password or the computer as it hadn't been logged off previously. The girl proceeded to plug a USB into the computer and print out a suicide note explaining that Courtney had committed suicide and had used morphine to block out the pain as she died.
She skipped back through to the bathroom to see the girl just barely breathing. This however did not please Peggy. "Looks like I'll just have to finish the job" she sighed to herself, picking up the razor one final time and dragging it across Courtney's neck.
Knowing the girl was finally dead Peggy sneaked out of the house, locked the door and placed the spare keys where she had found them. Peggy ambled down to the river, trying to draw as little attention as possible to herself. Once she reached the river she grabbed some clothes out of the car she had abandoned in the parking lot. She slipped on the new clothes and peeled off her gloves. Peggy then tossed a match at her old clothes beside the edge of the river before jumping into her car and driving off. As Peggy drove towards the shops she thought about Duncan and smiled to herself thinking about how much she adored him. Little did she know what she felt for him wasn't love, he was her obsession...
