...Is it bad that one of the things I'm proudest of in this is the blood splatter? 'XD
So the main idea of this is the cat represents hate and the mockingbird represents civility and innocents correlating with the usage of it in "To kill a Mockingbird". The reason why it's chosen as the main example of symbolism is because it doesn't eat crops and harm us it just sings. So in the book it is called a sin to kill one, likewise how it's a sin to kill the innocent. The cat meanwhile in real life stray cats are infamous for killing birds. Stray cats have led many species of birds to go on the endangered list. There is even a case where one stray cat on an island led to the extinction of an entire species of bird.
But the thing about stray and outdoor cats killing birds is that they often don't kill them to eat them. Which in the point I'm trying to show with this and the background information is that hate and prejudice kills civility and possibly innocent people, especially when in extremes of these things. But it isn't necessary! These things can be avoided! But unfortunately war and riots still keep happening in the world but at least we can make small differences in everyday life.
Wooh! That was long might as well have done my essay for language arts to go along with this.
