Cause baby you're a firework
Come and show what you're worth
Make them go oh oh- BEEEEPPP
I pressed the stop button. I really need to stop Shay going on my phone. I tried to get out of bed. Did that work? It didn't. The floor met my face in a nanosecond. A thud came out and my whole bed shoke. The perks of being a morning person.
Sense the sarcasm.
I sprawled out of my tangled bedsheets and make my way to the bathroom. I'm pretty sure my mirror was about to crack when I looked at my reflection. My golden brown hair pointing in different directions, a drool peeked out of my mouth and my face has got a badly drawn mustache and beard.
The joy of having brothers.
I washed my face thoroughly and took a short shower. I got out of the batroom and picked my clothes. A Fall Out Boy shirt, black skinny jeans, white converse and my really oversive cardigan.
Not many schools in England. Scratch that. Never any school in England has a non-uniform policy, but ours were lucky enough not to have uniforms. I grabbed my bag and 'The Fault in our Stars' down with me to the kitchen.
i was welcomed by the smell of pancakes and bacon.
"Bacon pancakes, makin' bacon pancakes
Bacon pancakes, makin' bacon pancakes
BACON PANCAKES"
My little brother Joe belts the song from Adventure Time. He walked down the stairs whilst givig e a toothy grin.
"Did you like our little surprise"
"Yeah. You know how much I like having Sharpie on my face" I mocked his grin.
"I thought you looked good with a mustache and a beard. It was an improvement to your face" My older brother Sam chirped in.
I can see that he was holding back a snigger from how I looked this morning. Sam is a year older than me but heck he can be a 5 year old if he wanted to.
I rolled my eyes and greeted my mum "Morning mum" she turned round smiling, showing her white smooth teeth.
I look nothing like my mum. She's got blonde hair, blue eyes and rosy cheeks. Whereas I, take most of my appearence from my dad. Brown hair, green eyes and light freckles. Joe and Sam got an equal amount from both.
It makes me jealous of how pretty she looks. Her captivating smile which makes dad goes protective whenever we go on holiday years ago. The memories came flodding in. I shook it off and ate my breakfast.
Since we all go to the same secondary school, Hawthorn Academy, you would think that we would walk together and share gossip on what's going on.
Phssst.. We're far from that version of family. Sam has to go extra early to catch with his class. We all know it's to see his crush. I like to be early but not as early as Sam. Joe? Well Joe just hang around until the bell is literally seconds from ringing. But he runs fast, so our parents don't really care.
Why would anyone wants to go to school sweating like a pig? That's the question I always ask whenever I see him running to school.
I walk out of the house after saying my goodbyes. Sam went 10 minutes before me. I took out "The Fault in our Stars" and starts reading it. No atter how much I read this book it will still make heart go all warm and fluffy.
I was interrupted when I heard a roaring sound. I looked up and saw Rhys Stewart, he wason his bike with Layla - The School Slut - who was laughing like a dying seal. Seriously. Rhys lives across from house and still takes the bike when the school is like a 10 minute walk. He really wants the world to be dead before he does.
