Chapter 1: A Song

Okay with the Infernos, its currently being edited and re-written since my beta and I found so many mistakes >~<! So to keep you company I'm posting this old story I wrote when I was a little one.  I had edited it and made this chapter last year, and sharing it with you today!           My heartbeat slows. I could not breathe as salt water filled my lungs. "Am I dying", I wondered as the ocean pressure pulls me under. I stared up at the surface, to see some light pass through to me. "I must be... I never got to say goodbye", I thought, as I close my eyes. I felt myself be lulled into a gentle, eternal sleep. When, soon a song rang out clearly through the depths, causing me to open my eyes up to meet a pair of bright blue eyes. I could hear the words he sang.

What has happened to you,

To cause your gently heart such pain,

It must be broken,

Burning to the point you wish death,

Has your soul grown weary,

Let the pain you carry all these years,

be carried away by the currents

If given the choice would you forget the past?

In the ocean so blue,

You can start anew,

No more pain, your heart can be mended

We can love again, my dear

I felt something cold touch my lips and soon felt their arms wrap around me, as they pulled me against the currents. "Who are you?", were my last words as all the colors bleed to black.

       I opened my eyes to see find myself undersea. School of fish in every color imaginable swam past me. I smile and attempted to swim after them and quickly caught up. Seaweed tickled my cheeks as I swam by, sharks lurked about keeping their distance. I kept going till I found a coral reef, which was bustling with life. I rushed over to it admiring the brightness that it held against the blue expanses of the ocean. I suddenly felt strange. I look behind me to find I didn't have my legs... it was a green fishtail instead. "Like a mermaid", I thought in wonder, as I gently touched it feeling the scales and skin. "This is like a dream, am I be dead", I wondered as I danced on the currents of the ocean, admiring the coral city. "I might as well enjoy this", I say aloud, scanning across the reef taking in the life. Moray eels jutted out of crevices, crabs scuttled about on the ocean floor, brightly colored fish swam in and out of anemone and holes. But, soon I noticed strange darkness, appearing in the waters. It floated around for a while, doing a sort of... dance. It soon turned in my direction and started heading towards the reef at frightening speeds. The animals scrambled around in a frenzied chaos, trying to claim a hiding place, as I stayed paralyzed, unable to move from the spot I was floating on. Soon, the shadow was in front of me, a shadow in a shape of a hand was reaching out to touch me. "Victoria..." it said gently, as its hand touched my cheek. I tried to move away. "H-h-how do you know my name", I stammered out. The shadow said nothing more, and suddenly all the air left my lungs. I start coughing, water started seeping into my lungs. The shadow moved away from me, watching me as I slowly start to fall, drowning to the bottom of the sea.
