You are both interrupted when the waitress comes along and asks you what you would like to order. To make yourself seem more confident, you order first
"Can I have a vanilla cone please" you and Hayes say at exactly the same time. You quickly look at each other and laugh but he doesn't stop smiling at you the whole time everyone else is ordering.
When the ice cream comes you decide to take a picture and put it on your Snapchat bc of how memorable the moment is.

5 minuets later your phone won't stop going off. You check your phone to see what is going on and it's that everyone who's seen your story is asking if that is your boyfriend, and if theyre not, it's your best friends saying
"GET IT Y/N!!!"
You show Hayes your phone while smiling
" Well...That's what the internet does for ya" he says in a proud voice, still with the smile that is basically tattooed on him now.
As your waiting for everyone to finish their icecream, you feel a foot under the table playing with yours and you look up to see Hayes innocently smiling to himself. You couldn't help but grin too and joining in. Later you feel that foot turn into a hand and a thigh. You could feel your face immediately flush red. Elizabeth notices that you look a little off and asks you
"y/n are you okay?, You ate to much Icecream or something??" She asks worriedly as you hear Hayes trying not to laugh.
"Yeah I'm fine, just got a little brain freeze"
You look up at Hayes and see him smiling still. You kick him back to get him to look at you. As he looks up, you both hear Skylynn say "FINISHED!" Hayes smile drops dramatically.
"Hey mom, can me and y/n stay a little longer? I need to tell her something"
"Ya sure!, Don't be long tho skylynn wants to get that toy from that store before it closes"
"Okay yeah, sure"
Everyone including your mum leaves, leaving you and Hayes the only ones left in the shop. With no time to spare, Hayes looks at you and starts to tell you what he wanted to say.
"I know I've just met you today, but the second you came over I felt this weird feeling. Something I...I don't even know how to explain, or what it is, but I feel like I would truly miss you if this was our last time we see eachother."
You didn't know what to say. You have liked this boy for five years and never did you think you would be put in this situation.
"Do you feel the same way?" He says slightly worried now
"Yeah I do feel 100% the same way, but its just such a shock, like I never thought this would happen"
"If you feel the same way, then you better come and stay with us a couple of days. You think your mom will let you??" He says, starting to become happy again.
"I don't know, I mean she will but like I have exams soon and this trip was a one off, like I have to revise and it took us 8 hours to get here. If I promise her that I'll do alot of revision when we get back, maybe she'll let me"
"Okay great" Hayes says, with his tattooed smile again.
Hayes still looking into your eyes, his smile dims a bit. There are a million thoughts going around in your head. 'what's wrong with him?' ,'has he realised something?' then it hits you. This is your moment. The moment you have wished for for 5 years. Before you got to even speak, Hayes leaned in and kissed you. It felt way better than all of the fanfics you've ever read described it as. And yet again, you felt like you were the only two in the room. Which, in fact you were, if you remember earlier on in the story.
About 5 mins later, you stand up followed by Hayes, and you start walking out the shop, towards your parents. Elisabeth was smiling as you walked out of the door, held by Hayes. She could tell what had gone down in there. She looked so happy to see her boy happy.
"Hey, mom can I talk to you a second?" Hayes said as quietly as possible, trying to be secretive from everyone else. Hayes and Elisabeth went over to the side to talk while everyone else started walking up the street.
(Hayes and Elisabeths convo)
"Hey mom I know you think that I was just being kind to that fan Y/n, but it was more than that. I mean, I have met alot of my fans and when I say alot I mean ALOT. And I know that I have never felt this way towards a fan before. EVER." Hayes said to his mum, who was smiling as wide as anything.
"You don't think that all of these 17 years of raising you, did I not think that look you were giving her the whole time wasn't just a ' Thankyou for all your support' kinda look?"
Hayes stood there as red as a tomato.
"What were you gonna ask me anyways?" Elisabeth says
"I was gonna ask if y/n and her mom could stay with us while we were in England. Y/n's over there asking her mom about it right now." Hayes said, with his eyebrows raised.
"Yes of course they can, if y/n's mom said it's okay."
"YESSSSS!!" Hayes whispered loudly.
Knowing what Hayes was doing, you knew you had to ask your mum about it.
"Hey mum, Hayes is asking if we can stay with them while theyre in England. And before you say, I promise to do ALOT of revision for the exams when I get back. Plus, you always said you wanted to spend more time with me so I guess this is a chance. PLEASEE!?" You say, trying to put on the puppy dog face to convince her.
"Okay fine , I mean it's not as if I wouldn't get along with them, ya know since the horse stuff, and you know I love their farm." your mum said in a sorta 'giving in kinda sigh'
Then you feel someone hugging you from behind, " were allowed " Hayes whispers into you right ear. You can feel that calm warm feeling again, whenever you feel his warmth.
As all of you are walking up to the bus stop to go back to the hotel... You and Hayes walk slightly behind.
Once you arrive to the bus stop, you have to wait a while on the chairs but there isn't enough room for all of you. Everyone gets a seat apart from you and skylynn. Skylynn then sits on Elisabeths lap and your fine just standing there next to Hayes while he is sitting down.
"Are you sure you don't wanna seat y/n?, I don't mind standing" Nash says
"Ya I'm....." Hayes pulls you and sits you on his lap.
"She's fine here" Hayes says proudly
After waiting for about 10 mins, the bus finally arrives and you and Hayes sit at the back by yourself.
The bus journey was long so you find yourself falling asleep on Hayes 's shoulder and he takes a picture of you and puts it on his Snapchat story (this is the first time Hayes fans are seeing you with him). After a while Hayes gives up and falls asleep on you too.
