Changing Mel to her⬆️⬆️⤴️➡️

Sorry for confusion

"Could you at least let me in so I don't have to look weird talking to a door. Mel, I know you can hear me."  he spoke as I sat on the floor with my head between my hands.

"I wish I didn't." I said flat out not even thinking of what I was saying.

I heard him chuckle and him slide down the door on the opposite side.

" Why are you here?" I asked him.

" You know why, Mel."

"I still wish I didn't." I replied to him.

"You sound like you wish a lot." he said curiously.

"It's the only thing that kept me sane when I was younger from time to time." I spoke remembering times I sat outside wishing on stars or flowers.

Austin's POV:

I looked at my watch and realized Mel and I have been talking for a few hours, I didn't even notice how relaxed I was with my suit blazer off and me leaning on her door.

She spoke softly at times and at others she was laughing and talking so loud with the jokes I was telling her even my guards were laughing.

I could see they already adored her without properly meeting her, she sure charmed people with just her voice.

" Mel?"

"yeah"

"Could you perhaps let me in?" I asked and waited hesitantly.

She spoke so low I almost didn't hear what she said "maybe"

I chuckled a little, "how about only I come in and then you can lock the door again? I'll stay on one side of the room and you on the other." I tried to compromise.

"Fine, but only you, no one else." she said hesitantly.

I heard her get up from the floor so I stood up from her porch and shook my head at my top guard signaling him to stay put.

The door slowly opened up and I saw her brunette hair cascading down around her face, I look at her ocean like eyes that felt like they looked straight through me to my soul.

She closed and locked the door after I walked in. She walked past me to the other end of the room and sat in a beige chair. She gestured for me to sit at a table on the other side of the room and I gladly took a seat facing her.

" My name's Austin by the way." I said to break the silence.

"I'm Mel, but you already know that." she laughed a little, I smiled realizing that I fell in love with her already when we were just sitting on two opposite sides of the door talking and I'd protect her against anything just not to see her sad.

" Nice pj's though. " I said looking at her clothes.

"Well if I knew I would have company I wouldn't be dressed like this, but since my unannounced guests turned up out of nowhere I lacked the time to properly attire myself." she said said in a posh British accent looking at her nails than to me.

I laughed at how she was mocking my accent," Well, if you'd like to properly attire I could walk out the front door and wait a few minutes and announce my arrival. " I replied playfully.

" It sounds like a wonderful idea but I'm comfortable in what Im attired in now." she replied smiling at our little conversation.
