The Timekeeper overlooked the end of another dimension in the petri dish. The world inside was chaotic; fiery red clouds mixed with gray clouds of smoke. He could just make out the image of people running and screaming, but they were so small that he could barely see them. The Timekeeper grimaced as a mini combustion caused the strands of his decaying hair to stand up.
The ground shook. The monsters had arrived.
They stomped their feet and shouted their indecipherable war cries- the Timekeeper cursed under his breath, knowing everything was about to fall apart. Creatures, black as night, emerged from the darkness, releasing a pungent smell of sulfur and rotten eggs into the air. He sighed and rubbed his weary eyes, knowing it was the result of Hawkmoth and his evil akumas. The creatures growled ferociously, but the Timekeeper valiantly stepped forward. He thrust himself into the universe inside the petri dish and transformed into his superhero persona quickly, knowing he would have to fight and stall until Ladybug and Chat Noir were to arrive.
The creatures lunged forward, clawing and biting with all their strength. It was one against about ten- it was an unfair fight. After a few more attacks like this, he knew he didn't have a lot of time left. Just when he thought he was drawing his last breaths, a familiar red-and-black yo-yo snapped around him and pulled him to safety. Ladybug unwound her yo-yo from around the Timekeeper and unleashed it on the creatures. The Timekeeper was slipping in and out of consciousness, and he felt as if he was losing his grasp on the world. His eyelids fluttered, and he couldn't stop them from closing. Ladybug, please save our world, he thought to himself just as black started to take over his vision. The sight of her taking on the monsters who almost defeated him was the last sight he saw before everything faded, and he slipped into unconscious.
Ladybug had taken down one of the monsters, but there were still so many to go. She whirled around for a second, trying to see if Chat Noir was anywhere, but she caught sight of the Timekeeper lying on the ground. For a split second, she feared that he was dead. "No!" she screamed, rushing to his side and crouching down quickly. Even if the monsters were still yet undefeated, he was too valuable to the world. She could not afford to lose him.
Just then, Chat Noir dropped in. "What's wrong?" he shouted to her frantically, deflecting an attack from the monsters as he rushed towards her.
"Master Fu, the Timekeeper, he's..." Ladybug trailed off. Tears welled in her eyes. Even if she didn't know that he was dead for sure, she was nervous for his health.
Chat Noir's eyes widened in shock. He dropped to his knees next to the Master and shouted, "I'll try CPR. You fend off the monsters!"
But it was too late. The monsters surrounded them, ready to strike. Chat Noir picked up Master Fu's limp body with difficulty, but managed to yell, "Cataclysm!" He struck the floor with his power, making cracks appear in the concrete. The monsters fell through, but with the added weight, he was soon going to fall as well. Ladybug grabbed Chat Noir and wrapped her yo-yo around a rafter on the ceiling. Chat Noir struggled to hold onto Ladybug while also carrying Master Fu. The old master started to slip from his grasp.
"Ladybug, some help?" he screamed as Master Fu started to slip even more.
"Hang on!" Ladybug yelled. She swung through the air and managed to escape from the building without the monsters following them. Unfortunately, she swung through the window of the Bourgeois hotel in her distracted state. She crashed into the kitchen, Chat Noir falling on top of her, but they were safe for now. Ladybug immediately got to her feet and helped Chat Noir lay Master Fu down so they could examine him closer.
