 Elizabeth called two days after, but I don't think I can come. At least not after I found out that she's the girl who saved my life. It affects everything, If I started feeling something for her then our deal is over. Wecan't even be friends, we'll be nothing but strangers.

 "I'll try, but I have a meeting afterwards. I guess I'll just call you. Bye" those were the last words I uttered before the call ended. She sounds like she is going through something, I'd love to help her but I'm dealing with a shit load of problems myself.

 I found out that my half brother Connor is in town and is more than ready to take care of Mom. We were never close, I really don't like him that much. And it's pretty much obvious that the feeling is mutual. To make things worst, Elena is once again trying to push her way abck to my life, we broke up months ago after she cheated on me and yet she's the one who has the guts to say that I still love her.

 "Where's the proposal?" Jeremy asked.

 "I'll bring it in" I replied and then stood up to get the huge folder from the cabinet. The meeting started after a few moments.

E L I Z A B E T H

 I don't know what's wrong with Brad, he seems so distant. The past two days had brought me so much stress. Dad's here, I tried my best to forget about him and yet he still forces his way back.

 I gave him money to rent an apartment but he refused to, he said he has his own and so I took the offer back. He made it clear that he'll be staying, said he missed me so much.

 It's funny how he suddenly decides to be a father to me after he left me and Mom alone ten years ago. He's long dead in our heart. We don't need him anymore. I heard the kettle whistling so I ran to the kitchen and turned off the stove. I wasn't able to sleep last night, my insomnia is back.

 I transferred the water to my cup and stirred it a bit before putting in the coffee mix. My phone then started ringing so I ran back tot he living room and picked it up.

 "Hey girl" I greeted and then heard a slight laugh. 

 "How are you?" she asked.

 "Not well. Dad's back. You?"

 "Oh. Do you want me to go there"

 "Are you going to do anything?" I asked.

 "Nope. I'm on leave.

 "Then you can come"

 "I'll be there in an hour or so"

 "Okay. Bye Elena"

 "Bye"

B R A D

 I dropped by at the hospital to check in on Mom, seeing her smile made my day. Even if it means me and Connor have to pretend that we're okay.

 "I'll leave now. Here's the money for her medicine" I told Connor and gave him the envelope containing the cash. "I'll have to leave tomorrow. My girlfriend's looking for me" he replied. "You can leave any day you want, no one's stopping you" I answered. 

 "Why do you have to be so cold?"

 "You seriously asking that Connor? You're a walking reminder of how my family fell apart"

 "That is not my fault"

 "Yep. It's not your fault. But your Dad's"

 "Then why do you hate me?"

 "You're his son!" I yelled and then walked out of the room. I felt guilty for a second but that all changed when the hatred started kicking in.

 A few moments after, I left the hospital and went to Elizabeth's house.  I walked up to the front door and knocked a few times. "Coming!" she yelled and then opened it right away. I gave ehr a hug and then we walked to the living room where I received a huge shock. My eyes widened as I started at her. Her eyes did the same, I don't know if it was intentional or she knew all along.

 "Elena?" my heart is beating fast.

 "You two know each other?" Elizabeth asked, confused.

 "Yeah. A little too much"
