Confused

[William's point of view]

I've finally found her. After fifteen years, I've finally found Jenny. Here she was, staring up at me with hazel eyes and her jaw dropped. With a lot of effort, I looked at the young girl in front of me. She looked confused. She was looking back and forth between Jenny and I.

"Mom, what's going on?" the girl asked

"Mom?" I thought The resemblance, "Mom", running away, fifteen years, the footsteps outside my office fifteen years ago, Jenny's sudden disappearance. Then everything clicked. Jenny changed her name to Julie to hide from me. Yet the bigger thing that came to realization shocked me even more, Jenny ran aways because she was pregnant. And my daughter, she was right in front of me. My mind couldn't process everything at once. Just then, Tom came down. He took one look at the situation and dragged my daughter away. I raised a good son.

[Tom's point of view]

I took a quick look and knew my father wanted this girl gone, so I got rid of her. Forcing her into a room, I got in and locked the door behind me. After that, I turned around and said "Sorry, it's just my job."

Only then did I realize this was the girl I bumped into earlier. She wasted no time in asking her questions to me.

"Who was that man with my mom?"

Not knowing how much I could tell her, I answered

"He's my dad. I'm assuming that lady was you mom?"

"Yes." She answered

Things got awkward after that. None of us attempted to speak and for the next thirty minutes, the silence became deafening. Good thing my phone alerted me with a text from my father saying

"You can bring her out now. Still here in the lobby. Come down."

After going down the elevator with her in uncomfortable silence, We both stepped in the lobby. Father's statement shocked us both to the core.

"Tom, meet your mother, Jenny, and your sister, Erma."

Then, the room erupted into chaos with bullets whizzing past us. "Get Jenny," I heard a voice call.
