after that night at the dinner, two days later it's court day. I was sitting outside on the steps in front of my house. I called Angie to ask if she was ready since I would be the one to pick her up.

            “Hello." Angie said through the phone sounding like she just woke up.

“are you ready?"

            “ready for what?"

“court." I said irritated. She sucked her teeth

            “I'm not going."

“Angie are you serious?!"

           “mhmm"

“Angie getcha ass up I'm not playin." I said sternly.

          “I'm.not.going."

“why you not going?"

         “because it's non-sense." She said sounding like she's stretching. I hung up the phone and got in my car. I turned my car on and drove to Angie's house.

“Angie are you for real right now?" I said standing in her bedroom door way.

         “YN shut up." She said half asleep. I dropped my bag on the floor, walked in her bathroom turned on her shower, pulled out an outfit from her closet and laid it on the bed. I pulled Angie off the bed causing her to fall.

        “owww." She moaned lowly. I picked her up and carried her to her bathroom.

“you so heavy." I said struggling to carry her. I was holding her while she had one arm and leg dangling. I sat her on the toilet and started taking her shirt off.

       “AYE!" she said grabbing her shirt.

“then take a shower!"

      “then get out!" I sucked my teeth and walked out the bathroom and laid on her bed watching t.v. after 15 minutes of Angie taking a shower she finally got out. She walked in the room with her bra and underwear. She put her dirty clothes in the hamper, and started putting on the outfit that I chose for her. She fixed her hair and grabbed whatever she needed and walked out the room. I turned the television off and followed her downstairs outside to my car.

             “okay give your purse to your sister please." Angie handed me her purse and looked at the security guard.

            “okay right this way." The security guard said. we followed. Angie saw her lawyer and Sat on the defendant side next to Aisha, Destiny and Trinity,while I joined my mom, chresanto and everyone else behind the defendant and the plaintiff. I saw Cindy and her sister walk in the room and Cindy Stood behind the plaintiff side.

The Judge walked in and took a seat in her chair. we all sat Down.

         “Angie please stand." the judge said to me. I stood up and she motioned me to walk behind the stand.

         “that's your lawyer right?"

“yes ma'am"

          “okay, so the plaintiff has filed for an assault that happened.........where did it take place?" She asked me looking at some papers.
