Maia's POV
As her friends walk ahead with their partners, Maia slows down behind them not wanting to walk beside them. They can get quite loud and giggly at times. Her best friend, Ella, slowed down to talk to Maia.
"Maia, why the long face?" she asked. Maia just shook her head and mumbled nothing. Ella then said, "Give me your phone. Come on now."Maia looked at her curiously as she handed over her phone. She peeped over her friend's shoulder to see what she was up to. Ella was downloading a dating app on her phone. Maia's eyes grew big and quickly stopped her friend. "What are you doing? I'm not going to play with such apps. Come on Ella, you know me well. You know I'm not going to do such things." she exclaimed.
Ella laughed at her friend's reaction and told her to relax. "Why so defensive?" she chuckled while still holding onto Maia's phone. "Look, I'm just going to set up an account for you. Now, whether you use it or not, its up to you. No harm playing around. So chill alright." Ella continued. Maia took her phone back, looked at the app, switched off her phone and stuffed it back into her jeans pocket.
She made a note in her head to remind herself to delete the dating app from her phone once she gets home. She linked arms with her best friend and together they hurried along to catch up with their other friends.
