Aaaaahhh! Ouch! Noooooo! Enough! Pleaseeee stoppppp! That was the only thing that Ross can utter while suffering from the beating by his stepfather. It was almost everyday that his experiencing it. Ross always dreamed about having a dovish family in which he is being loved and accepted. But realizing that living with his stepfather, it wont be.
The beatings continued to the point that he was already scared to go home. The fact that "home" should be the place that we all want to end up in the end of the day because in there is a family that is waiting and ready to listen to everything that you're going to say but in Ross's case home is a hell for him, he is the one who is suffering because of the wrong decisions of his parents.
It came to the point that he can't take all the pain that his stepfather is giving him. So he decided to live a life alone and make his own story facing all the problems and challenges in life.
Chapter 1
Ross is 19 years old , he is an only child of Mr. Evan Cruz and Mrs. Flor Cruz. Sadly his father passed away when Ross was 11 years old due to heart failure and because of financial difficulties he didn't make it. Months after his father's death, Ross saw his mom worked just for them to live. His simple amorous mother works as a maid in a middle-class family. Ross then decided to stop studying first and he'd just help his mom work for the both of them. He has this side jobs like gasoline boy, carwash boy, and a construction worker. Days after his mom met a good-looking and responsible man, named Jero Raymundo. He is a security guard in a bank, he is being entrusted by the bank because of the skills and attitude he has.
Jero and Flor got along too well,they felt good with each other. Months passed by, Flor's income isn't enough for Ross and her living, and because Flor and Jero are entice to each other she took the opportunity and risked their future on Jero. She welcomed Jero double purposely. Not taking too much time they all lived under a tingle roof.
They all got along well, Jero is a kind and loving person most likely to his own family. Ross also didn't have any problem with it. He is a smart kid, has a good perspective in life that's why there is no conflicts between them. Flor was happy because they still had found a man that is willing to be part of their lives besides of their situations. Life went easier on them than before, and then suddenly they were all contented.
After a couple of months it was like that everyday, all of them would go to their respective jobs, then one day Flor got a hint that she is pregnant, she kept that as a secret until she can make sure about it. She's gradually limiting her physical activities for the sake of the person inside her womb. Jero was clueless for two months, one night when he went home Flor was there excitedly waiting for him, but Jero is confused until Flor spoke and made Jero hangs for a second before he could respond, then suddenly it filled with joy, excitement and a lot more unexplained feelings in the world. They both glad about the news, Jero have found another good reason for him to strive harder.
Ross POV
"But when can we tell it to Ross honey? I am sure that he will be glad too." mom said
I heard mom and stepfather talking vigorously so I knocked the door and mom opened it.
"Ross you're in a perfect time we have a good news for you and you must really know about this." Tito Jero said
"Good news? Sounds intriguing what was it mom? Is that the reason why both of you are so happy right now?" I asked
"Yes son, because you will be having a sibling I am two months pregnant." She answered
"Really mom? You're not joking? I will become a brother? I can't wait for it mom."
"Yeah Ross we are all shocked and glad about it so can you please do me a favor ?" Tito Jero asked
"Sure Tito what's that favor?
"Can you please take care of your mom while im not here?
"Oh sure tito for mom I will do anything don't worry Tito I can handle it."
"That's good to hear Ross so I've got to go don't let your mom carry heavy things okay take care of her."
"Bye honey no worries we'll be okay here take care also." Mom said
"Mom I will go to Seven-eleven first I will just buy some foods I'll be back right away." I said
"Okay son go ahead take care." Mom replied
