It was the eve of my 15th birthday. Everything was going as planned. People were dancing, and hanging around the fire. It was 7:24, almost the exact time. I got near the cake, German Chocolate, my fave. Everyone started gathering around. It was 7:26. Dad lit the 15 spiral electric blue candles. One by one. Everyone starting singing the famous Happy Birthday song, and that's when it hit. Searing pain that sent me to the floor. It was 7:28 exactly 15 years ago I was born. My canine teeth became very loose. They fell out of my mouth completely. I stood back up, looking at my friends in humility. Blood was raining from my mouth. I usually smile but then I did not. My brother grabbed my arms, and put his arm around my neck, and simply said, don't think about it. I closed my eyes, struggling to breathe. Once I felt my breath, the blood stopped. Instead I was hungry for more. My lips began to be pierced by sharp teeth, that had replaced the others. I looked up, horror struck. I was a monster, my friends looked at me, with fear. One mumbled, her eyes are blue. He let me go. Do not move, he simply said. They all stood still. I thought I closed my eyes, but they were actually open. I drifted around trying to find a victim. I was hungry. The hunger was all I could think about. Not my friends or how I had became different. That I was no longer one of them. I searched, mindlessly around. Until I came across to one that smelled so sweet and delicious. I couldn't stand it. I leaned closer, biting softly into their neck, not knowing who it was. The blood filled my mouth. It wasn't too hot, but it wasn't cold. It was pleasantly warm. It tasted like caramel, mixed with cinnamon. It was utterly delicious, nothing in the world could compare. Once I finished, I looked around, I was alone, in the dark. The moon high in the sky, stars multiplying. The feeling was strong. I no longer had blood of a human running through my veins but in my stomache. I was no longer who I thought I was. I was now, a creature of the night.
