My afternoon bus driver is the best! He's always on time and, barring any major traffic delays, he always gets me to my connection bus to get home according to the schedule.
However, the best thing he does is that he stops the bus right in front of where I stand - every day. This is important, because if I get through the doors first, I have a fighting chance of getting a seat - which on an hour-long trek is priority number one! It could be my imagination - but the wide, beaming grin on his face tells me he knows exactly what he's doing!
Today's in-flight entertainment comes courtesy of The Stoners. They announce their arrival with the recognizable aroma wafting down the aisle as they run to seats at the rear of the bus. This is followed by a rousing rendition of the theme from the Flintstones. It's also loud (as apparently marijuana makes you partially deaf) and off-key. Simon Cowell would not be impressed! "Yabba Dabba Doo!"
Next in Stoner Girl's repertoire is an equally off-key "happy birthday to you," as apparently it's Stoner Boy's birthday tomorrow. Stoner Girl is a little early in her celebrations as she "wuvs him soooo much ..." Happy Birthday Stoner Boy!
