Chapter 2

one year later

Jack Johnson's POV

I wake up and smell bacon Brinley must be making breakfast she always makes the best breakfast. I run downstairs and see her in the kitchen making pancakes and bacon and still in her PJs and man does she like goos. Stop it Jack she is like a sister to you. I get caught out of my thoughts when I hear her voice.

"Goodmorning Jack" she says smiling at me. I smile back at her and sit down. As I sit down I notice her phone light up with a message from someone named Bryce with a heart next to it wtf. I decide instead of getting all mad and sad about this I'll just tease her a bit.

"oooo who is Bryce" I say getting up and going to her with her phone in my hand smirking at her. She turns around and looks at me with a red face and seemed to be embarrassed.

"Johnson knock it off it's no one" she said trying to grab her phone from me but she was to short to. She ends up chasing me around the house until Gilinsky caught us.

"What is going on down here?" he says running down the stairs looking a bit annonyed.

"nothing" Brinley says walking over to me and grabbing her phone from me and gave me the dirty look. I hope I didn't make her too mad.

"No it's something I heard Jack say you have crush who is it?" he says following Brinley. I decide to follow just in case.

"Just a kid who is in drumline with me that's all Jack chill" she said getting really mad at him. Ever since Jax broke her heart Gilinsky hasn't let her talk to any guys except for me and him. It does seem a bit extreme but after Jax hurt her she didn't get over him for 6 months and she went into this bad depression and had to back home over summer break because of it. I remember it so well because I missed seeing her smile everyday.

"This is why I didn't want you joining drumline. You spend most of your time with them and there a triple boys then there are girls."Gilinsky says practically yelling at her now.

"Ok G that is enough she is a teenage girl she has hormones she can like a guy it's normal." I say getting in between them. I wish I was one of those she is attracted to.

"Whatever it doesn't matter because your going on tour with me and Jack." He says walking away.

"and I don't get a say in this!" She says following after him.

"unless you want to go back home" G turns around and says back.

"When do we leave?" she says rolling her eyes at him

"In a week" G says while going upstairs.

"umm B something is burning in here" I yell when I start smelling it.

"Shit" she says running into the kitchen and takes the bacon off of the stove.

" Hey so are you excited for tour?" I ask her following her to the living room.

" I guess who is opening for you guys?"she asks as she sits down on the couch and looks for something to watch

"pretty much and olive o'brien" I respond back to her.

" oh do you think Jack will let me invite a few friends over the night before we leave?" she asked looking up at me with sweet puppy eye. Why does she give me this feeling I don't understand.

" It depends will Bryce be one of these boys?" I asked her looking back at her and raising an eyebrow which caused her to blush and hide her head in my chest. I love when she hides herself whenever she blushes it's so adorable.

"I was hoping so" she said staring straight into my eyes. She has such beautiful eyes and they shine so nicely.

"You really like this guy don't you?" I responded back hoping she would say no and that she liked me but I know that would never happen.

"Yea I do. Its the first guy that has caught my eye since Jax and he is so sweet." she says with her face lighting up with joy talking about him. She must really like him because that is what I look like when I talk about her.

"I make sure to do my best so your friends can come over" I state smiling at her and giving her a kiss on the forehead. I've done this to her since I was little it was a sign that I care and even though we are just friends I will always be there for you. It's cheesy I know but it's our thing and I like it.

She smiles back at me and says "Thanks JJ you're the best I don't know what I would do without you." She then kisses me cheek causing them to go red and lays back on my chest and slowly starts to fall asleep in my arms. It was the best feeling in the world I hope we always stay like this even if it means I can't have her.
