You rubbed your eyes and yawned for a second before rubbing them once again and staring into your computer screen. The Kira investigation was going on longer than you had anticipated, and because of that, you and everyone else on the task force had to work harder just to catch him. It seemed hopeless.. after all you worked so hard to find him for about a year now..and it seemed like no matter what you and the task force did, it was getting you no where.
Nevertheless, you curled your lips and allowed a visible smirk to reside on your face. Regardless if it was taking forever you knew that someday you'd catch Kira...although...
You glared over your shoulder over at the brunette seated at the center of the room. Doing nothing more than reading a few files and sorting information, was Light Yagami.. your Kira suspect #1. You didn't know for sure if he was Kira or not, but something in your gut told you he was apart of this whole 'KIRA' thing..even if he did try to play it off- Oh and his girlfriend too.. the real annoying one..what was her name..?
"HEY GUYS! GUESS WHAT!" Matsuda shouted upon entering the office.
You all turned in your chairs, or at least gave him a glance to hear what he had to say.. You turning full circle in your chair and widening your eyes in wonderment.
"Misa-Misa's going to sneak into Higuchi's office tonight! We're already planning to record whatever he say's!" he spoke before tighting his fists and smiling eagerly. "-And hopefully.. he'll finally admit that he's Kira..then all of this will stop for sure!"
You shot a quick glance at light who rose an innocent brow making you turn in your seat. "Don't get your hopes up Matsuda.. He's not Kira.." You mumbled typing again.
"How could you say that!? Especially when we've planned this for ages!" he wondered approaching your desk. "C'mon Tai! You have to have faith! He could actually confess to being Kira!"
"Whether he would or wouldn't- It doesn't matter.. He's not the actual Kira who's started this whole 'Oh look at me I'm God' mess." you snapped typing faster.
"Well... who do you think it is then?" Matsuda wondered wriggling his brows.
You stopped typing only to turn in your chair once more and look to the dark haired man. You sighed patting your lower back as you stood, shooting Light a glance all the while making the boy jerk. You simply shut your eyes before patting Matsuda on the shoulder, "Sadly I can't tell you that...but we'll all find it out soon enough." you let out.
"Now hold on!" Light let out standing from the couch. "Just what are you implying Tai?"
"Hm? I'm not implying anything Light." you spoke before taking a seat again. "I'm just saying I along with everyone else will find out who is actually Kira if its the last thing we do.. Does that bother you?"
"No why would it!? We're striving for the same thing.."
"Are we?" you asked raising a brow.
"Yes! I'm starting to think that you suspect me of being Kira!"
"Thats odd, cause I didn't say that. Is this paranoia I'm seeing?"
"Tai!"
L took his eyes off the main computer of the office before looking to the fight in the center of the room. Again you and Light were bickering with one another while Matsuda looked like a confused puppy. This made him groan before reaching for a few things atop his desk.
"Tai I'm sick of your constant assumptions! I'm not Kira!" Light objected.
"I'll prove you wrong soon enough kid, now don't get your panties in a bunch.." you let out with your hands on your hips.
