So Close Yet So Far

Epilogue

Naruto stared at the blue sky, dotted with white clouds.

Today was the day, and only a few more minutes until he would step out onto the black carpet to the little stage.

The memories flashed in the blonds mind.

Flashback

The couple was at a friendly picnic, they were both 20 and former classmates were playing games.

Naruto ran and whacked the neon ball with a tennis racquet. Ino had ran and trampled her teammate/boyfriend Sai and tried to hit the ball but failed. "10-8" Naruto said with a smirk. Ino and Sai groaned.

Sasuke chuckled as he shared a bottle of water with Naruto. They all laughed and just sat there on the benches to chat and eat. Naruto was talking to his friends and Sasuke had pulled out a shiny white box.

The raven lightly tapped the blond and kneeled down.

Naruto gasped.

"Naruto.." Sasuke said.

"Hmm?" Naruto said.

"I have loved you for a long time. I am so glad that we'd gotten together, you are the light of my life. You are the life and death of me, and I want to ask you one more question, my beloved."

Naruto wiped his eyes with his free hand, his other hand covering his mouth.

"Uzumaki Naruto, will you marry me?"

Naruto didn't bother wiping the new tears as he pranced on Sasuke and repeatedly shouted. "Yes, yes yes yes yes!"

After a couple moments, the blond calmed down and Sasuke slipped the shiny silver ring with an orange jewel on it onto Naruto's finger.

The raven hugged the blonde and the classmates around them cheered. Naruto blushed and squeezed Sasuke's hand.

Flashback End

Naruto was still embarrassed. "That asshole, making me a girl." Naruto chuckled as he glanced once more at the white laced veil and the white dress he was wearing. Then at the bouquet of roses

"Naruto, time to go!" Tsunade called. "Okay!"

"Welcome to the wedding of two males, names of Uchiha Sasuke and Uzumaki Naruto." The priest said.

The crowd clapped.

"May we please welcome the groom, Uchiha Sasuke."

Sasuke walked to the front and bowed. The crowd softly clapped again. Itachi was clapping the loudest. "WOOOOooOoo! OTOUTOOOO!"

"Then, may we welcome the bride, Uzumaki Naruto." Naruto blushed and heard a couple chuckles as he walked towards the front.

"Now, Sasuke Uchiha, say your words."

"Naruto, I love you so much, and for that reason it's why I'm here. For three years, my love grew bigger and even though my attitude never becane better..from the bottom of my heart, I love you with all I can."

"Now, Naruto Uzumaki, say your words."

"Sasuke, I...I dont know what to say. I love you so much and that moment you proposed to me, I felt my mind just snap. That was the best moment of my life and you'll probably be the prestigious death of me."

"Very well. Sasuke, in honor of obligations, in sickness and in health, do you take Naruto Uzumaki to be your wife?"

Naruto once felt his cheeks burn form embarrassment of the four letter word.

"I do."

"Naruto, in honor of obligations, in sickness and in health, do you take Sasuke Uchiha as your husband?"

"I do."

"Any objections?" The priest said.

Karin was about to stand up but Suigetsu seated her roughly back down. "Shut the fuck up, will you?" Suigetsu hissed quietly. "Damn it." Karin muttered.

"You may now kiss the bride!" The priest exclaimed.

The two did as told, although it only lasted a couple seconds before Itachi pulled them away. He was still happy.

The couple couldn't wait for their future ahead of them.
