Unexpected one

*present day*

"Ace! Are you listening? Hello AEGON!!!" My mom screamed as I snapped back to reality. "Huh yah yah what did you say?" I ask "I said can you put away the groceries in the order I like so much, I have to go to the washroom." As she turned and headed downstairs into the basement(also her room and own washroom) geez as I stare at my phone at the text I haven't replied to yet.

It can't seriously be Caleb I mean that's just crazy we haven't spoken in years and I didn't even know I still had his number on my phone.

As I unpack and put groceries away I calmly begin to form sentences to text back "who is this?" Even though I know full well it's Caleb. Not getting a fast response considering I waited quite awhile before answering back I continued to put the groceries away and clean the kitchen.

*Ting

As I pause and turn knowing that's my text tone on my phone. I check over to the counter where I left my phone still holding a bag of carrots I was putting away. I look closer and see Caleb on the screen.

I unlock my screen and read the message, "it's Caleb...I know it's been awhile" more like a few years "and I know it's really random for me to message after all this time" yes yes to the Hell it is "but I was just skimming through my phone and saw your contact info still there and thought I should message and seen how you were doing."

This was either a trap or actually true. We had history and it was confusing and weird and feelings were hurt by both sides I don't know what to say. The only reason it's curious as to why he is messaging is because I was his first gay experience.

I message back "oh hi! Yah sorry I didnt have your number saved. Yeah it's been awhile. That's nice of you tho. How's it been?" I texted back

This time the reply was faster as I finished up the groceries and put the plastic bags away I hear another * Ting .

"That's cool I wouldn't expect you to have it saved...it's been okay I finished up at Mc Master university and I moved back home and got a part time job at the mall. Hby?" In shock cuz he's back home after Uni but that he got a job at the mall that I work at as well. You might ask how do I know which mall but it's because it's the only mall where we lived so it's hard to miss. But I work as part of management at my store in the mall nothing special just an AS (assistant manager) at a Boathouse.

Don't be fooled by the name it's not a store with boats it's a clothing store with active wear and shoes and shit. "Oh wow that's great congrats with the school. And I also work at the mall!" I text back

As I left the kitchen I went upstairs to take a shower and get ready for work since it was almost 1:00 and I start at 1:30 so I got into the washroom and started stripping off my clothes. Before hopping into the shower I stared at my chest which had my chest tattoo displayed across "Chevalier" which is like a night in shining armour kinda thing don't ask. And look to my dick which needs a shave. Fuck I need to work out again. Before I got even more distracted I hoped into the shower to get clean because I didn't want to be late for work even though I was only 20 minutes away and I could drive so I didn't need to worry really.

But I like being punctual.

I hope out after a nice shower and dry myself of any water droplets that survived the amazingly absorbent towel I got from Costco. I bought it a few years back and it works beautifully.

I tie my towel around my waist as I walk back into my room to change. When I checked my phone for the time and saw that I had a text from Caleb. I quickly opened the text and start putting on underwear. "Aye thanks! And really where do you work?" Hmmm I should just tell him, we are bound to see each other at the mall. I message back where I work and that I'm actually working today.

It's amazing how fast I can get ready for work yet taking a shit in the morning takes forever. I'm not even consto or maybe I am.

I grab a water bottle and my keys and hop in the Honda that I have also named Daenerys. I know what your thinking Aegon and Daenerys?!?!? Well I didn't choose my name which soo happened to be a part of the Game of thrones world which I also love with an angry passion.

I hop in Dany and start heading to work still glimpsing at my phone still no reply.

Maybe he passed out? Man I don't have time to worry about this shit I wonder what kind of shit awaits me at work today. Luckily for me parking isn't that bad around this time and I get one close to the entrance of the mall. As I make my way to my store I pass by one of my old stores I use to work at hot topic and take a quick peek inside to see if my bootiful darling is working and my brother from another mother with my luck I got one out of two.

" BOO" I scream "HOLY FUCK" as she yelled in her store and spun around to see the culprit who was me of course! "FOR FUCKS SAKE ACE WHY DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO DO THAT TO ME!...*panting* like are you trying to make me piss myself cuz you are getting there bitch!" She explains as she tries to catch her breath. "Oh sweety if I wanted to you to piss yourself I'd wear a clown mask and ask if you wanted to play hahaha" I reply and also reach over to give her a big hug. This is my boo Chelsea but I call her Chels or boo she's like the beating heart of that store. She is amazing at what she does and is under appreciated for all the work she does for the company and this store specifically but she herself is also an AS(assistant manager).

We are two peas in the same pod and I'm certain if we were roomies it would be fucking amazing. We keep each other sane and she loves my hugs they always get her calm. "Geez...what are you doing in the mall you working?" She asks "do you even have to ask we both practically live here. But yes ma'am I'm closing today I'm guessing you opened?" I ask her "yep and phoone is closing I'll tell him you are closing too!" "Okey Dokey love. Well I gotta go see the damage at my store come say goodbye when you finish your shift." I state with a hug goodbye that she squeases in return "okay" she says under our hug.

The first thing I notice as I walk in my store are clothes messed up on our tables and pants unfolded and sprawled about. I'm also OCD so seeing this really irritates me. I continue to walk in and see Lucas who is my manager and my close friend. I give him a hug too because everybody loves my hugs and cologne. He's been working his ass off at work and taking care of his grandparents.

I hug him tight cuz I know he's worried about them.I have a dog and even though he's a little shit sometimes I can't imagine my life without him. We break apart and he gives me a run down of what he needs me to do for tonight and have done for tomorrow morning. Afterwards I clock in and walk to the back room to hang my bag of water and snacks for my lunch. I head back out and notice someone speaking to Lucas, I squint and realize

It's Caleb.
