eight years ago

Violetta walked in the front door with the best news for her and León. She saw León on the couch strumming his guitar, the song was recognizable, Abrazame Y Veras. She smiled at the picture in front of her, imagining their kids sitting watching their father play his guitar and singing.

"Mi amor," Violetta caught his attention, before sitting next to him. León smiled and looked at her, while he kept strumming. Violetta waited patiently while León finished playing one of their many songs. "I have some news," Violetta smiled, "Close your eyes," she told him, and he did. She pulled out a sonogram from her purse, and put it in his hands. "Are you ready?" León nodded. "Ábrelos."

León stared at the sonogram, he was speechless. "Are you– are we– you're– we're having a baby?" Violetta nodded.

"The doctor retold me all the precautions again, but I'm almost three months, and they're sure that it won't happen again," Violetta told León.

This was a touchy subject for the both of them. The first time that Violetta had found out she was pregnant was short after León had proposed to her, then having lost the baby a month after he proposed. The second time it happened was a couple months after they wed.

"León?" León was still speechless. "León? Mi amor?"

"I'm going to be a dad? We're going to be parents? Mi princesa, our dreams are coming true," León smiled. Violetta smiled at her husband, letting his arms wrap around her petite body, she sunk into his warm torso. His hugs always made her feel safe and secure.

present time

León sighed as he looked at a framed picture from his and Violetta's wedding. It was his favorite picture of that day, it was more of a candid during their first dance of being a married couple. Their eyes were full of love, and if anyone looked at the picture they would know that they were soulmates.

"Are you really staring at a picture from your wedding?" A voice interrupted León's thoughts. "León, if you really miss her you would try and talk to her! Not fight with her and tell everyone that she's pregnant!" Francesca told León. "That was low, and you know it."

"Please keep telling me that I'm pushing the one I love away from me, and how I can't fix my mistakes. I can't be around her without feeling guilty about leaving."

"You didn't leave her, León. You both made the decision of splitting up, maybe it was the best decision then, but is it now?" Francesca asked.

León sighed and looked at the woman who was leaning against the doorframe. "It's too late, Fran. She's pregnant with Diego's child! And getting married to him."

"Ay, León. Mira," Francesca sighed. "It's never too late for true love. What she has with Diego is not as much as what she had with you. You two were made for each other. Think of how many obstacles you two overcame when we were younger. You two always found your way back to one another. Just give it time, and we know that you and Vilu will be back together."

"Are you saying this because you want me to be happy, or you miss Diego?" León asked. Francesca was taken back.

"The fact that Diego and I were together before has nothing to do with this. And plus I'm very happy with Marco, and I see us being together for the rest of our life. Which is what you see with Vilu, no?"

León sighed because he knew Francesca was right. He truly missed Violetta in his life. He missed calling Violetta his wife, that was something Diego would be able to do within the next year.

"León?" Francesca waited for León to snap back into reality.

"I just need her in my life, Fran," León replied.

"Then act like it. Be her friend, and not just her ex who tells everyone that she's pregnant, okay?" Francesca waited for León to respond, which he did with a small nod. "Good. Now let's go meet Vilu and Cami for lunch."

"I'm not going to a girl's lunch date," León stated, putting all his weight down so Francesca couldn't pull him up.

"Good thing it's not only girls. Broduey and Fede are coming," Francesca smiled, and León finally stood up.

"You didn't tell me that they would be here together," León whispered to Francesca. Violetta sat beside Diego, and there was subtle PDA between the two of them. Francesca gave León a small smile. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because you wouldn't have came. If you want her in your life, you should act like a friend. And plus we're all friends here," Francesca concluded.

"Isn't it nice to be hanging out altogether again?" Camila smiled.

"Not everyone is here, Cami," Broduey told his wife. Camila looked at him with a look that said 'not now.' "It's really nice to finally see León after he's been gone for so long."

"You just saw him last week," Camila told Broduey.

"I mean, it's really nice to see León more often since he's moving back," Broduey corrected himself. "So hopefully more guys nights, right Fede, Diego?"

"I didn't know you were moving back," Diego told León.

"Yeah, it was either sell the house that I bought almost a decade ago, or move back to be closer to my girls," León responded. "I thought Violetta would've told you."

"I mean, I knew you were back for awhile, just didn't know you were moving back," Diego replied. "So you're coming to the wedding then?" Violetta choked on her water, Francesca switched glances between Diego and León, Camila and Broduey had no idea what to do.

"The chicken here is the best!" Federico interrupted. "And the chocolate cake is so amazing. Almost amazing as Olga's."

"My lunch hour is almost over," Diego said, standing up. "I'll see you at home, yeah?" Diego asked Violetta. Violetta nodded, pressing her lips against his cheek before he walked off.

"You didn't tell Diego that León was moving back?" Camila whispered to Violetta.

"It wasn't important at the time," Violetta whispered back. "I didn't expect him to be so blunt with inviting him to the wedding."

"So the chicken?" Federico asked, folding his menu back up.

Because I feel like Federico would be the one to stop the awkward moments. And I love Fede.

Diego is jealous. León is jealous. Francesca just wants León to be happy.

Camila and Broduey still have their little fights bc who would they be if they didn't?

Also I hope you guys enjoyed the flashback. I'm going to try to add flashbacks so you can see the reason why Violetta and León decided to split. This first flashback was finding out that they were pregnant with María, which wasn't their first pregnancy.

Also Hermangie might make an appearance soon. Maybe. They should because Violetta trusts Angie, and sometimes we need a Herman outburst even though his daughter is almost thirty. Also is it Herman or German? I always see both of them used, but I guess since this story is written in English, it'll be Herman.

Hope you liked the chapter!
