"Mizuki! Where's Tomoe?" Nanami yelled as she stomped into the kitchen. Mizuki looked up from the newspaper he was reading. A sly smirk played on his face. "well good morning Nanami, Tomoe is out at the moment." He said putting down the newspaper. Nanami glared at him, "well where did he go?" She asked. Mizuki chuckled. "I wish I could tell you my dear Nanami but unfortunately if I did tell you Tomoe would probably drop kick me all the way to the moon" he said coming over to her. She scowled "why is he always gone. I can't believe he left me here with you!" She exclaimed. She turned on her heel and stomped out of the kitchen. The rest of the day she spent doing her chores. At noon she left into town. "Mizuki, I'm going shopping for some stuff for supper!" She yelled as she headed out the door. She walked down the long stairs of the shrine and to town.

*back at the shrine*

Mizuki smirked and turned around to see Tomoe. The snakes face went wide eyed. Tomoe looked angry. "T-T-Tomoe!" He exclaimed. Tomoe' s ears flattened. "where did Nanami go?" He asked. Mizuki smiled. "she went to town for some food." This only seem to anger Tomoe more. "you let her go by herself!" He yelled. Mizuki went wide eyed again and nodded. Tomoe bashed him on his head and walked away muttering something under his breath. Then Mizuki got an idea. He was tired of Tomoe always treating him like this. Nanami didn't deserve him. "oh and she asked about you again." He yelled after the angry Tomoe. Tomoe stopped and turned around. "and....?" He prompted. Mizuki smiled. "I didn't tell her but she's going to find out sooner or later. She was raving the entire morning." Tomoe just narrowed his eyes and turned around and walked away.

*in town*

Nanami wandered the streets muttering under her breath. "why does he always leave me? Does he not like me anymore? Where does he go? What does he do? What's so important that he can't even tell me." She sighed and all the sudden she tripped over her own feet and went hurddling toward the ground. All the sudden someone caught her. She gasped and looked up to see Tomoe. She scowled. He set her down on her feet. "Nanami I thought I told you not to leave unless I was with you." He said crossing his arms. "hmp, I'm not a little kid I can take care of myself." She spewed. She turned on her heel and stomped off. "Nanami!" Tomoe shouted. Nanami kept walking. She was so furious with him. All the sudden she was jerked back. She looked back to see Tomoe scowling at her. She glared back. "don't touch me!" She screamed. All the sudden Tomoe' s hands were forced off her. His eyes widened. "Nanami?!" He questioned. He saw her eyes glaze over and knew she was going to cry. "you idiot!" She shouted before dashing off. Her tears fell down her face. She ran and ran, until at last she stopped. She was in a dark alley. She wiped her eyes and took a deep breath. After she was ready she finished her shopping and headed back to the shrine.

*back at shrine*

As soon as she entered the shrine Tomoe was waiting for her. She held her head up and walked past him with confidence. She set the things down she had bought down on the table and then left to her room. As she walked to her bedroom she had to past Tomoe. She made no eye contact and just kept walking. Tomoe wasn't happy at all. He hated it when Nanami cried, especially if it was because of him. And now she was giving him the cold shoulder. There wasn't much he could do. He couldn't let her know what he was doing or where he was going. If something ever happened to her he'd never forgive himself. She walked past him and she kept on going. She marched to her room. As soon as she reached it she hurried in and slammed the door shut. A pounding came from the other side. "Nanami can't we at least talk about this?" He asked. She bit her lip. "Please leave me alone." She said. Tomoe gritted his teeth. " Nanami." He shouted. "I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" She cried. Tomoe sighed. "Nanami." He whispered. He leaned his head against her door. That's when he herd the faintest sound of a sob. He cursed himself. He couldn't help her, she had said the sacred words. The sobs became louder and louder until he had to leave, his ears hurt and his heart sank with each cry. He went into to the kitchen and saw Mizuki sitting there reading the newspaper. Mizuki looked up and smiled. "I guess things didn't go well with Nanami." He said. Tomoe growled at him and kicked him in his head. Mizuki whined about Tomoe being rude. Tomoe scoffed and began cooking dinner. After it was done he set the table and shouted for Nanami to come eat but Nanami didn't come in. "Mizuki go get Nanami" he said. Mizuki smile and left to go get Nanami. Nanami sat in her room. She had eventually run out of tears but her eyes were still puffy. She herd Tomoe call for her to come eat but she didn't move. She was to weak, from crying. She herd a knock and she jumped a little. "go away!" She yelled. Mizuki knocked again. "Nanami, it's Mizuki. Dinner is ready, come eat my dear Nanami" Nanami stood up and walked over. She opened it a little. Mizuki smiled. "are you hungry?" Nanami's stomach growled in response. Mizuki laughed. "I suppose that's a yes." Nanami nodded. She walked to the kitchen with Mizuki. She saw Tomoe sitting at the table eating. Nanami sat down and began eating. Tomoe looked up at her. She glanced at him and he looked away. She looked down at her plate and chewed on her food. "good food....Tomoe." She mumbled. Tomoe nodded, "thank you." Mizuki sat there eating his food as well. "hey Nanami, did you finish your Chores?" Nanami nodded. "yes of course." She said. The rest of the dinner was silent. After Nanami finished she stood up and put the dish in the sink. Then she left and went back to her room. She sat on her bed and stared at her hands. Her eyes glazed over again. Tomoe walked in, she hadn't exactly closed the door. She looked up and her eyes widen. She quickly stood up. "Tomoe!" She exclaimed. She wiped her eyes. Tomoe came closer. "Nanami, please don't cry, it makes me sad." He grabbed her chin and smiled at her. She blushed, "but, it makes me sad when you won't tell me where you go, I get worried." Tomoe' s eyes widened. "your worried, about me?!" She nodded her head. "yes." He smiled. "oh Nanami." He cupped his hands around her face and kissed her nose. She blushed. "Tomoe." He smiled and pulled back, "goodnight my Nanami." He whispered in her ear. She blushed and he smiled again before he walked out of the room.
