He wore the scent of old books, a smell that wildly reminded of my father's study; my safe place. His smile could have angels falling from their clouds and his touch; they felt like a ray of the warm autumn sun. The feelings so overwhelming I could almost feel the dry leaves crunching beneath my feet as we walked down the frozen street. Hand in hand, side by side I couldn't contain my curiosity anymore.
"Where exactly are we going?"
"Be patient, you'll know when we get there" he says "just a few more minute and we'll be there I promise"
Not wanting to push him to annoyance I endured the pain of curiosity.
"Do you know why I wanted to walk with you tonight?" NamJoon asks
"Because you want to get sick?" I sarcastically answered.
"아니" he said smiling "you really don't know?... it was snowing the night we first met"
"Kim Namjoon-shi you must be thinking of another girl" I giggled as I joked with him "I remember exactly when we met and that was the first day of spring, at the festival"
"아니야!!" he said laughing in disbelief "Listen, do you by any chance remember one night you were walking near here, there's a park up ahead where you bumped into some jerk and he spilt coffee on you, it was a Thursday night I can't recall the exact date but; you were wearing a pink dress, with an oversized brown coat?"
"Oh, yeah I do, how do you know about that? It was a few years back but I remember the dress" I reminisced "the coffee stain is still there"
"Well, I apologize for that"
I slowed my pace and came to a stop.
"I was the jerk who ruined your dress" he smiled looking at the ground as if there was more he wanted to say.
"Don't tell me you only dated me to apologize after two years" I let out a little chuckle looking up at him. He stood there looking over me. The perfect height, saying nothing he smiled and shook his head and started to look around.
"Well if that's not the case then? 너 스토커가 아니야?"
"아니에요!!!" he said raising his voice. His eyes were widened at the sound of my voice. He chuffed and pulled me closer the railings of the side walk. We stood looking at the beautiful view of the tall buildings of Seoul. "You really have no idea how much of a mad man you had me feeling like for so long before we met again."
I looked up in surprise but our eyes didn't meet. A story of our meeting, how has he never told me this before or at least why?
"You looked so beautiful that night I didn't know how a stranger could make me lose my senses so much." He said finally looking at me. "To be honest I never told you that because, that was the moment I fell in love with you; waiting for our paths to cross again was the best decision I ever made. The girl with the coffee stained dress, who would've thought fate, would bring us back together"
He smirked as he placed one hand around my waist and the other around my neck. He waited for a moment as if to examine my face, then slowly pulling me in. Our lips met and like always, as if there was no one around, as if there was no snow, as if it was not winter; my body flooded with the feeling of the warm autumn sun.
