After about an hour, another ship pulled up to the dock. "Alice come on! Don't make us miss another ship!" Callie says shaking me awake. I open my eyes and spot the ship. I had fallen asleep while leaning against a pole, I was exhausted. "Right! Sorry!" I say standing up. Only a few other people got onto the ship. Callie and I went towards the back. The ship had leather seats going around the inside of the ship. "Over there!" I say, pulling Callie towards the window seat. Looking out the window, you can see the deep blue ocean. "Alright everyone, next stop is the kingdom of Estora! Our estimated arrival time is 4:30." I smiled at the thought. Finally being able to see my mom and my sister after so long. I rummage through my bag until I find a a chess board. "Callie! You wanna play?" I ask. "Sure!" She said sitting on the floor. I joined her on the ground and set up the board.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••"We are now coming up on Estora!" The captain says. The blob of land soon looks like a kingdom. "Callie! Look!" I say standing up. The boat goes over a large wave and the boat bounces me off my feet. I slide across the floor and almost trip when I feel a pair of arms catch me. I look up and my eyes connect with the strangers dark brown eyes. My heart skips a beat, and we look into each others eyes for what seems like eternity. I didn't want to look away but I felt I had to. I clear my throat and look away. "Sorry, I didn't mean to...fall into you..." I say letting go of him. He laughs. "Hah, don't worry about it." He says with the most adorable grin I had ever seen. "I'm Alice!" I say holding out my hand for him to shake it. "Marcus, and nice to meet you too." He says shaking my hand. He had dark brown hair, and his eyes were so dreamy. "Well well. What do we have here?" I turn to see Callie with an evil grin on her face. The boats horn sounds which signals, the boat had docked. "Uh, sorry but I have to go.." I say looking at Marcus one last time. "I hope I see you again...Alice." He says waving goodbye. "You too Marcus!" I say as Callie drags me off the ship. She drags me into the middle of the town where there were venders and plenty of people. "Ugh! Callie stop!" I say trying to break free of her grip. She finally lets go of my hand and turns towards me. "So who was that?! He was hot!" Callie says with a giggle. I blush and look at the ground. "Seems like I'm not the only one who thought he was hot!" Callie says nudging me. "Callie stop! Focus on the task at hand would you? My mom said she and Melissa would meet us near the fountain. Do you see a fountain anywhere?" I ask. "Over there!" Callie says, pointing past some vendors. My heart drops at the sight.
