It was around 3 am. The night was peaceful, stars adorning the pitch black sky. An aura of peace was settled in the Alwyn-Swift household, both of its inhabitants sleeping soundly in their bedroom. A mess of tangled limbs and heavy breathing coating the linen bedsheets.

A loud crashing noise startled both Taylor and Joe, jolting them both awake from their deep slumbers. Joe instantly going into protective mode, his senses growing alert, and a strong arm wrapping around Taylor's torso.

Taylor looked over at him with a frightened expression adorning her face, her pupils small and her blue eyes shocked and frightened. The blonde singer sucked in a deep breath before whispering:

-"What... what was that?"- Joe just frowned and was about to respond, when a high-pitched yet manly voice rang from the end of the hallway.

-"Taylor, my love where are you?"- Joe instantly got up, grabbing a bat from their closet, before heading over to Taylor, who was sitting on the edge of their bed, tense, as white as snow and with a face he had never seen her have before, and which scared him to death (even more than the man currently approaching them in the hallway).

Joe suddenly snapped out of his thoughts, another loud noise of a picture frame crashing in their hallway.

The British actor quickly approached Taylor, wrapping an arm around her and gently coaxing her out of their bed, knowing she was in a deep shock, unable to respond to anything, out of pure terror.

He swiftly locked their bedroom door, hearing as the unknown man was opening every door and breaking everything in their guest's rooms, growing increasingly frustrated.

Joe lead them both into their bathroom, locking the door and hiding them both in the bathtub, quickly calling the police and wondering how on earth that man had gotten through both of Taylor's bodyguards.

After calling the police and being informed they were on their way (and not to worry), he turned over to his girlfriend.

She was still white as paper, eyes glazed over, and breathing slightly shallow. Her shoulders were stiff and hunched over, and her nails were digging into her palms, leaving crescent moon shapes engraved into her skin, crimson red breaking the otherwise creamy white skin.

Joe noticed her posture and cradled her in his arms, gently unfolding her hands, and kissing the markings she'd done to herself without even noticing. He whispered sweet nothings into her ears, rocking them both gently, effectively calming her down.

He could still clearly hear the loud noises being made by the intruder, making him as scared as he'd ever been, but the adrenaline pumping through his veins was enough for him to only focus on the fragile girl in front of him. He put his hands over both of her ears, humming an old song his mother used to sing to him, blocking out the sound of the attacker, trying to make her calm down, not get her any more riled up that she already was.

-"TAYLOR! Babygirl!? Where are you, honey? Don't try to run away from me now... We all know how that ends, don't we?"- he said. His voice had gone up two octaves, with a slight edge to it, making it even more terrifying than it already was.

-"Taylor sugar, these paintings right here are marvelous. Might keep one to myself... Come on, dear? Where are you"- He continued to tease, in a sing-song voice.
