"we're moving, whether you fucking like it or not" raelynn's dad gritted through his teeth as he had her pushed up against the wall with his hand around her neck.

his breath reeked of stale tobacco and beer, making her scrunch up her face. a hot tear streamed down her flushed cheeks but that didn't take away the fact that she was full of anger.

ever since raelynn's mother had died a year back from an illness, her and her father's life had gone downhill. her dad started excessively drinking and smoking and began to get angry which lead to multiple holes in the wall.

every single thing that reminded him of raelynn's mother would send him into a sudden outburst and it certainly didn't help that raelynn was a spitting image of her. this meaning that he couldn't help but take out his anger on her, mentally and physically.

"i'm not going," she whispered, her breaths getting shorter.

in what seemed like a millisecond, raelynn was on the floor with blood dripping down her face and she watched her dad walk out the room casually. she couldn't react. she couldn't cry.

it was like she'd already cried all the tears she had already, that no more were coming. this had just become her reality.
