3rd Person POV

As time went on, the girls kept growing and Sue and Charlie continued visiting regularly. Everything seemed to be going smoothly, besides the worry about the rapid growth rate of the girls. They didn't notice that someone had been watching from a distance.

Bella POV

We were relaxing in the living room, watching the girls play, when Alice was bringing a potted plant she had just watered back in. As she entered the doorway, she drops the plant, the pot breaking on the floor.

We all jump up, Jasper at her side. The girls, confused, glance over. Jasper asks what we were all thinking.

"What did you see?"

"They're coming... all of them." She says, fear clearly showing in her eyes.

Edward and I exchange glances before looking at the girls, who were now playing.

I don't need Edward's mind reading to know we were all jealous of the girls' innocence, but at the same time, none of us were in a hurry for them to lose it.

Your POV

Nessie and I only looked over, in shock really, because it was a new sound and we'd never heard it before. Everyone around us were too careful and quick to let anything drop accidentally like that.

'She's ok (n/n)," Nessie comforts me. 'Everyone else is looking over her to see what's wrong.'

'Your right, of course.' I tell her as I turn back to our toys.

When it's a conversation between us, we don't worry about using our voices.

Alice POV

Well, that vision was startling, but at least I didn't scare the girls too much.

I know Edward saw what I saw, and everyone is just as scared as I am.

Already, we're talking about splitting off and finding the nomads and small clans that we've been close to, even considering some of them our adopted family.

I knew what would have to happen to give us the most chance of survival, but it will be difficult. I say I'm going to feed, heading to the cottage we assembled for Edward and Bella. I found one of Bella's books, well one I could easily replace, ripping out a page, writing a note on that one and on the inside of the book, before replacing the book and heading back to the house.

Jasper and I change into travelling clothes, and going to the edge of our territory, waiting for Sam to meet us here. When he comes up to us, I explain that we just wanted to cross his land. He accepts our request and escorts us to the beach.

I hand him the note, telling him to give it to the family late morning tomorrow, before we go into the water, off to search for someone like the girls.

Bella POV

After reading Alice's note to me and burning the book, I take Jake and the girls to Charlie's. Since all those vampires are staying right at our house, I figured instead of cancelling, just take the girls to see him. I drop them off, and use this time to find out about the J Jenks that Alice wrote the address of, only for me.

~Skippy-skip thanks to J~

Driving the girls back home, the envelope in my bag and the girls dreaming away, I wonder how this will work out.

Although I am very thankful to Alice for giving me this backup plan, it makes me wonder if I will need to use it.

Edward, thankfully, meets me in the driveway and helps me put the girls to bed. Edward goes into his library to read and I wander into Alice's room, which hadn't been entered since before she left. Taking two small backpacks, one for each girl, I put some cash in each, enough for them to sustain themselves for a time. I write notes for each girl, explaining that we love them very much.

I write a note for Jake, explaining how I trusted him to keep them safe.

I pack the bags with the clothes we have for that day for the girls, including a few extra pairs of clothes, knowing they'd need new ones soon after they leave and they wouldn't be wearing the same size more than a couple of days, before going to relax with Edward.
