E/N You'll notice the picture header above is of a 50s men's outfit, and this ends up being the costume Otis chooses. Just a reminder that you can find all of these on Agent Olympia's Pinterest account, and I promise all the captions are in-character for her! ;)

Also there's a fairly obvious reference to my fanfic Opalescent below—since it takes place in the same universe as Ships Ahoy and Full Circle, the scene Otis mentions with Dr. O will end up happening in a later chapter of Opalescent (which I PROMISE I WILL WRITE, I haven't forgotten the fic!)

DISCLAIMER: This is not my fanfic, I am merely republishing it with permission after the original got taken down last fall.

Olympia stashed her outfit behind her back as she left the costume room and turned to Otis. "I can't believe it."

"What exactly can you not believe?"

"Just...everything! I mean, Olive and Oscar were together, and Otto is okay with it?"

Otis shrugged. "Well, it makes sense since Otto and Dr. O are together."

"WHAT?!?"

"Yeah, at least I think so. It seemed pretty obvious when we all went to the Club 24 together. I think they've been trying the long distance thing since Otto moved to Montréal HQ. No idea how it's working out, though."

"WHAT?!?!? YOU WENT TO THE CLUB 24 WITH OTTO AND DR. O?"

Otis looked at her like she was insane. "Well, yeah, how do you think I knew about 50s night?"

Olympia looked like she might actually be insane. "Since when do you go to nightclubs? You always say no to new things!"

"Most of the time I do, but Otto said it was 90s night, and you know how much I love ragtime. They must have changed the theme, though, because when we got there they were playing some Buddhist rock band."

"You mean Nirvana?" Olympia asked, squinting at him in disbelief.

"Yeah, that was it. They weren't bad, but I've never heard anything like that from the 1890s."

Olympia shook her head. "So, wait, you've been to the Club 24? What's it like?"

"Well, I assume it's like any other nightclub, but it's open to Odd Squad agents in addition to adults. Sometimes they'll have special throwback nights where they're open to everyone, though, and they decorate the club to match the era, disco balls and neon lights and stuff."

Olympia shook her head again. "I can't believe it. Dr. O and Otto? Olive and Oscar? You go to nightclubs? This whole thing is like a poorly written fanfiction." She sighed. "At least I get to wear a cool costume. I've always loved poodle skirts..."

"Olive, Olive!" Otto yelled, running to her desk.

"For goodness sake Otto, what is it?"

He placed a flyer on her desk and crossed his arms with satisfaction. "Check it out."

Olive eyed the paper suspiciously. "50s night?"

"50s night! Let's go!"

Olive groaned. "Otto, I really don't feel—"

"Please Olive? You know I've always wanted to be from the 1950s."

"I thought you wanted to be from the 1970s."

"That was on Monday, this is Wednesday."

"Couldn't you ask Ms. O or Otis instead?"
