Chapter 12

Paola POV:

Day one after the break up not going so well. I brush my hair and got ready for school today. Gosh I get to see him today which is the death of me. Seeing his face everywhere. Man I hate him now.

I went downstairs and ate pancakes with my mom at the table. "So mom how about I don't go to school today." I begged her.

She thought her a moment to think about it. "No you have to go."

She push me out of the house and lock the door. Now I have to walk a mile to go. I started to walk and put my headphones on. I put on to shuffle and listening to sad songs.

I turn off my phone and out my headphones away when I got to school. Everyone started to whisper and looked at me. I found Brianna talking to this boy I never seen before. He had brownish gold hair to the side and with chocolate brown eyes. He was wearing an sweater and a beanie.

"Um Brianna is it okay if I talk to you?" I ask her.

"Okay. I talk to you later Matthew." I pulled her to the side far away from this Matthew kid.

"Who he?" I point to him.

"Oh Matthew he's an exchange student." She smiled at me. I took one more last look of this Matthew exchange student one more to time see his face. He smiled and waved at me.

I turn around to Brenda she raise an eyebrow. "He's kinda cute." I whisper in her ear.

"Now you have a crush on him." She said.

"No remember what happen yesterday?" She shook her head.

"Then never mind ha! Oh looks who coming to take you back now." She pointed at Kenneth and his little group.

What does he want now? I said in my mind. I turn away from him and walk away.

"Paola!" He said. I ran off and bump into someone. I look up and saw Matthew the exchange student there.

"Oh sorry I didn't see you there." I said shyly.

"It's fine. Hey you know a girl name Paola Vendez or something?" Was he asking for me?

"I think you found her already." I said.

"Wait really where?" He look around.

"Um it's me." I said to him. He look at me and then smirk.

"You don't like a Paola. You look like a a prettier one." He said. Okay now I know this guy is a big flirt.

"Thanks I guess? So should I show you around the school?'' I ask him.

"I rather stay here to know you." He sat down in the shade by a tree.

"I'm afraid we can't do that Mr. I rather stay here." I laughed. He got up and got his backpack.

"Aw you ruined the fun!" He gave me the puppy eyes. Oh gosh why does he have to be cute.

Soon I found Kenneth there piss off. "What are you doing talking to my girl?" He shouted at Matthew.

"Woah me your girl? Don't you remember yesterday!" I shouted back.

"I told you I'm sorry. She posted that not me." Is he telling the truth?

"Oh sure." I rolled my eyes annoyed.

"Please forgive me." He begged.

"Lets go Matthew." He nodded his head and started to follow me.

"What up with him." Matthew asked.

"I broke up with him because he cheated on me.'' I told Matthew.

"If I were your boyfriend I would never do that." He said to me. I laughed a little and look down at the grass.

"Haha I bet.''

We got inside the school and told the principal I was going to miss some classes. And told her that Matthew is an exchange student.

I showed Matthew around the school and all of the classes. "So Paola I was going to ask you something, but your gonna get weirded out." Matthew said to me.

"Weirded out how?" I ask him.

"So we just met and you just got out of a relationship and I was going to ask you if you wanna go out." He said.

"That would be weird.''

''See I told you." He chuckle.

I showed him his class and said bye to him. I went to my classroom to start my day.

"Good morning Miss. Gozen." I said to her.

"Why so late?" She smiled. Miss Gozen is like the teacher who is nice and young. She is also funny and makes the everyone to enjoy her class.

I sat down in my seat and open up my notes. I saw Kenneth looking at me the whole town. Was he about to cry? He rose his hand and ask Miss. Gozen to go the bathroom.

He went the classroom quick. What was weird? I shook my head and wrote my notes again. I saw one of his friends shook at me and handed me a note.

I put the note away and thought look what I did now. I rose my hand and Miss. Gozen shook her head.

I went out the classroom and started to look for Kenneth again. I found him coming down the classroom with tears on his face and wiping them off. He saw me and gave me a weak smile.

"Please forgive me Paola." He begged again.

"I- I don't know." I said to him.

"Please just please." I look around the halls and see no one was there. He pull me into a random room I think this is the janitors room.

"Look Paola I know I messed up big time because she couldn't leave me alone." He said to me.

"I don't know." I back away from him. He came closer to me, but I moved away. I opened up the door fast and left him. That one was a close one. I enter the class and seat down at my seat like nothing happen.

Oh gosh what just happen...
