Chapter 1

Justine's Pov...

"Why won't you date him? He's so hot and the Quarterback." My best friend Jaidyn asked as we walked down the hall on our way to first period.

"I've told you why, he's not nice. Who cares if someone's hot if they aren't a nice person." I told her. Noah Grayson is a complete jerk, I don't understand why my friends want me to date him so bad. I also have a huge crush on another kid in my school.

The boy I have a crush on Is 1000x nicer than Noah. I'm scared to tell him that I like him though. I don't want him to think that it's a joke or a pran-

I got snapped out of my thoughts when I bumped into someone and we both dropped our stuff. "I'm so sorry." I said looking up at the person.

It was him, the boy I've been crushing on since forever. He's just perfect, from his bright blue eyes to his cute little freckles that are in the shape of a triangle on his cheek.

"It's okay..." He seemed sad, I didn't like it, but I didn't want to get into his business so I didn't ask what was wrong.

We picked up our things then started walking in our separate directions. "I hope you have a great day." I said before he disappeared into the crowd.

Hayes' Pov...

There's something special about that girl. I accidentally bumped into her making all of our stuff fall to the ground and she didn't get mad at me.

Nope, she apologized and helped pick up my stuff, then as we were going our opposite directions to our classes, she said something that made me smile.

She said that she hopes I have a great day. She's so nice. She's the kind of person everyone should be. She always tries to make people happy, that's what I like about her.

I sat down in my usual desk and looked through my stuff to make sure that I have everything that I needed. I had everything I need for the day, plus an extra folder, it must be Justine's...

I tried not to look in it, but my curiosity got the better of me. I opened it to see pictures. Pictures of the sky, random places and me...

Why would she have pictures of me? I was the only person she had pictures of. I would be weirded out if I didn't have a crush on her.

The pictures were really good. I kept looking through them until the teacher came into the classroom.

I put them away and focused on what the teacher was talking about and did my classwork.

After class, I looked for Justine so I could give her folder back to her. I saw her at the other end of the hallway. So I ran to her. There was no other way for me to get to her.

"Hey Justine wait up!" She stopped and turned around. "Yes?" She asked as I got to her. "Here, this got mixed in with my stuff." I said handing her the folder.

Her cheeks turned red. "Thanks...You didn't look in it did you?" She asked nervously. "I did, They're really good." I smiled then walked away before she could say anything.

I know your little secret miss popular girl.

Justine's Pov...

He saw my pictures...But he didn't seem weirded out about it. I wonder why. "What's in the folder?" Jaidyn asked. "Um, some really bad drawings." "Oh okay."

We walked to our next class, which was gym. The teacher was out today, so we got to do whatever we wanted to do.

All of class, I just sat in the corner of the bleachers and thought about Hayes. How could he not be weirded out after seeing pictures of himself that he never knew were taken?
