After about an hour, I saw jason running towards here. I opened the door.

"hey Jason-" I was interrupted by Jason banging the door shut and pulling me down. "what's going on-" "SHH. They can hear you."

"who?" I said just as the sound of rustling bushes were heard.

Jason muttered. "their here."

"yea, but who? Tell me."

Jason pulled me down to the room I woke up in. I heard a click. Then the stone walls moved, making an eerie dark pathway. Seeing a button near it, Jason quickly destroyed it, carried Jeffrey and pulled me in darkness.

Jason put down Jeffrey to lead the way giving him more strength to pull me. Running, Jason kept on pulling me by the arm. "Jason." I whispered. I couldn't get his attention. "Jason!" I whispered louder. Still no reaction. I finally whispery shouted. "Jason!" and he got startled. I took the advantage to shake his hand. "whats the matter with you?" I asked. "I know were being attacked and all, but please explain."

"there's no time for that." he said as he continued to grab my arm. "Tugging me by the arm hurts." I said and he blinked. I sighed in return.

Jason, holding my arm, he released it and told me not to get lost. I nodded. We kept on turning and twisting. I realized were going through a maze. I wonder how he knows the way.

"look Adam. I'm sorry for tugging you. Maybe walking out of here is a good time to talk." he said. I couldn't see his expression, he was in front of me.

"go on."

"the soldiers from the kingdom. They found out our hiding spot. I noticed them, they kept on glancing at me. Then the approached me slowly. I calmly walked away, trying to let them know I didn't see them. And sprinted through the jungle. But they found me pretty quick knowing where I was... It's a good thing I build this maze. One wrong path can lead to death. If your wondering how I know the path, it spells out "Jeffrey". Pretty funny huh?" Jason chuckled, but seeing as to my reaction not amused, he cleared his throat and continued.

"Look sky, Adam, I need to keep you safe. You know that-" "yea, yea. I'm humanities last hope." I interrupted. "Adam, this is serious. It's not a joke or like the games we play. This is real. Not to put pressure on you Adam, I think I would panic if I were in your shoes. But..." he turned to look at me.... Dead straight in the eye with a smile.

"I believe in you. Because somewhere in this twisted world... Of... Of madness, theres always ray of hope. If theres darkness, theres light. So in this dark world, YOU are the light." he said as he turned back. "And for that, I believe you'll make things right." somehow he manage to pull a bit of hope to reassure me it's fine, that I'll be alright.

We got out of the caves. It seems like we were there in an hour or so.

It looks like a different forest from earlier. This is... Somehow magical, enchanted-like. More of a surreal feeling that this isn't true. "where are we?" I asked.

"this is called Treetops Valley. Home of many woods land creatures." Jason explained. So that's why.

I heard rustling from the bushes and I saw two creatures, big and buff. Both green, but one has blue eyes and the other has yellow. I stepped back, but Jason put a gentle smile to me and turned, showing a blank face to the creatures."did we end up the wrong path?" I asked. Jason ignored me. "do you have permission to enter?" the yellow-eyed one said. It's voice was rough and hard. "yes. The Lady gave me permission once I have returned with him." Jason replied. Was he talking about me? " and what is your name?" the blue-eyed one spoke this time.

"Jason." "and the other human." the blue eyed one spoke.

"Adam."

The two creatures glanced at each other and nodded. They let us through. Jason started walking up north past the exit of the maze.

Once we had enough distance with the creatures, I began to talk.

"why are we here? You know, besides trying to get away from the soldiers. And what are we gonna do now? And why did we end up here? And what were those?!" I asked.

"gee, you sure ask a lot of questions." he smiled. We crossed over a log over the river. "we're here to visit a friend of mine. She was also the one who helped me in building the maze. That's why it's connected here. And those? They're the guardian trolls who were sent to protect the exit. To who ever exits and enters." again he explained. Now we walked through the tall grass. It was up to my waist.

"so the maze were in. It wasn't only from here to your home... It goes all around?" I asked, waving away the grass to make way. "yea. Remember what I told you if they make the wrong path? It goes to different places, such as the fire kingdom, Paradise Glacier, the so called forgotten island. Most of them are dangerous." he answered, as we go deeper in the grass. It was now at my height. I had to look down instead of in front, to see what I'm walking on. I was about to ask another question that the path were going is really necessary. But he interrupted me. " were almost at the good part. Just wait."

From walking on tall grass, we walked down hill and entered a cave. It was quite dark, but once we stepped inside, things began to glow. Those things were crystal gems that glow bright green, to bright blue, to pink. It was beautiful that I let a gasp escape from me.

"Amazing isn't it?" Jason said.

"Yea. It is." I said, still staring at such a beautiful sight. "come on we're almost there."
