The Corruption (I)

I left the lab and made sure he couldn't call for help in case he was alive. I try and head to find the next target: his wife. But then a thought came into my mind. How did the general recognize me; I am not in my body and I have another face.
I try and look for a mirror and when I find a chance to see my face. One half is my face, the other is the robots. That explains why everyone saw me in a weird way and why the general was surprised and scared. This motivates me more to get revenge and kill today's Soar generation. 
I know where his wife might be, after all she is the leader of all the monsters and the only place where she cannot be spotted is one of the wastelands. There are two in this side of the Earth and three in the other side. I can eliminate the three from the other side because the only way to get there without being spotted is through the north pole, but the plague freezes after being exposed to the cold for too long. Meaning she must of stayed here in one of the two. I hide the half of my face, the half that is not mine. The closets wasteland, which I hope is where she stayed, is about 123 miles from here. I can only go as far as 55 miles close because no transportation goes too close to the wasteland. So I get on a "taxi" and ask the Robot driving to take me to the border of the city. The trip is long since there is some traffic, but we arrive in two hours. I get off and pay the artificial driver and start walking from here. I decide to sprint 68 miles, I should take about 2 hours, my endurance is really good after all. 

The walk took a bit longer than I thought, but I finally arrive. On my way here I picked a sword from a fallen guardian to defend myself with. I knew I was getting close as soon as I saw way to many monsters in the sky and on the ground. I try and not encounter many since if I kill one monsters around the area will attack me too. Also I want to conserve energy from here on out. Monsters in the waste land are stronger and have creepy features. At this point I know the leader or the doctor's wife, already knows I am here, all infected creatures are her eyes and ears. As I try and look, instead of me finding her, she finds me. I see a flock of birds go by (I bet infected) and deliver her to me. 

"What is someone like you doing here in this wasteland? You don't think you can get rid of me in this place do you?" 
"I have come to kill you. Your "husband" fused my soul into a robot corpse *shows his face* and made me a monster. And I have come to kill the Soar generation. Including you, so that the Soar don't cause any more damage to society."
"*laugh* you think you can fight me? How cute. A fool would say such words and you are a one." 
I rush towards her, but I made a mistake. I forgot to use my aura and underestimate her. She stops my slash with her hand disarms me and grabs my hand. 
"Will you look at this? You are going to be dead soon. You have been infected."
"WHAT?!"
"You forgot about your aura. Hmm... Maybe I will use you instead of just infecting you." 
The plague enters my body, but it takes over my mind faster than other subjects. Then it talks to me from the inside of my mind. 
"AH. I see. I see all the pain you have, all the events that led to this. You should have been smart to not trust Ropton. You should of just accepted death."
"Get out of my head!!!" 
"Listen. I can help you get rid of the last Soar family member, I can give you the power you wish to be able to do it without anyone stopping you. But if you accept you will have to help me get rid or at least conquer humanity. You will start and new life as a powerful being."
"You can't give me what I want. You just control... and destroy."
"I though you were smarter. You are no longer a guardian. The people now think you are a freak, the Soar family has cause too much damage. Here test some of the power I can give you."
It stops talking and  she releases my hand and I try the power on one of the monster near by. I punch it and kill it in one hit. It usually takes aura and a strong punch to do it. And I don't need aura to kill these things. It said that this was just a bit of the power it can give me.
"So do we have a deal?" 
"We do. I will get rid of the last Soar and let humanity know what they created by rejecting one of their own."
"Perfect. Now you can't kill the other monsters, they are your allies now, and after you achieve your goal, you will do what I please."
"Understood."
"Alright then, I will take the rest of my body off the scientist and put it all on you. This might take a while."
I see the plague crawl towards me and leaving the body of the doctors wife and coming my way. As it get to me I faint because I feel some sharp pain on my head. 
I don't know how long it has been since I fainted, but I do feel a difference mentally and physically. 
"Good you are awake. The powers will take a long time before you can unlock all of it."
"I look like a monster." 
"Exactly, but I have recent learned an ability that helps me blend in with my surroundings, I can look like anything living in this world without changing the body of those who are under our influence. So I will make you look like another human I have recently infected. Also all those under my influence are your eyes and ears. So you see what they see and listen to what they hear. Don't worry on how to get this ability, I will take care of it until you are powerful enough."
"I can't wait till that day arrives."
"Me neither. Now don't go and attack Skyler right now, he is somewhere else, in the mean time we can get ready for his arrival when he comes back."
"So this is the name of the person who's face I have. Then lets get ready. What do we do with her?" 
"I will let her get away, after all she made all these modifications to my body and DNA to make me better and also the humans will get rid of her, so they will do the messy job."
"Then leave her here, while we go to another part of this waste land and you can tell me all of your tricks."
"Perfect."
Now the world will tremble when they say my name, Xavier, and with this power and the power that might come my way I cannot just use it on Skyler. I will use it on the world. All I have to do is wait."
